I liked his ideas and bid! Charles and his team came out as planned, replacing our wire and wood fence with metal poles set in concrete and new wire. They finished the project in 5 days despite a big rain storm. They cleaned the old wood and wire, leaving the pasture ready for our geese to move back to their home. "They installed about 160 feet of redwood privacy fence with three gates and an additional gated enclosure for a heat pump. For the wood fence itself they did excellent work. Quality material and accommodated some unusual features which meant the entire job was done by one contractor. The owner suggested and installed special gate latches that allow entry with a code on a keypad, which actually got them the job. Their failing was the crew doing the work did not understand how that special gate latch worked, and how to construct a gate to properly use it. I am handy with tools so I was able to spend a day to modify and add to their work to make the latch work. Not everyone is in a position to do that. They over-promised in that crew doing the actual installation needed more guidance for a completely successful installation. So if you have a standard fence and gates with standard Home Depot style hardware, I would recommend them. But if you need something unusual they really are not able to handle it and you need to plan to get that skill set elsewhere."

He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. "I contacted Michael and 2 other contractors to paint the exterior of my house.  I ended up adding a bathroom to the project subsequent to the exterior quote.
Michael returned my call immediately and was able to come out to my house and deliver an estimate in a couple days.  He was the cheapest of the contractors by about 25%.  We was ready to work the following week.
Michael was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable.  He called every day to give an update and a status report on the project. After the first day of scraping, I noticed that the cleanup was OK, but some was left over.  Michael took care of it the next morning and I didn't have any other issues.
The painting was done reasonably quickly (there was a rain scare), and it was thorough and looked great.  I would use Michael again for any project, and encourage others to add him to your list when bidding a project out.

The contractor promised to fix it right away; he started the repair job, but never finished it. After trying unsuccessfully for more than a week to get that contractor finish the paid-for job (which he had said could be done in less than a day), we gave up, and called Nato of Zarco Landscaping. It was a small project. But Nato came out for an estimate the same day we called him, and got the job done the next day. He was responsive, punctual, professional, and the job was well done. He was significantly more expensive than the previous contractor, but we were happy to pay more for good, solid service."
