"While I love my kitchen and sunroom, I attribute a great deal of that to the constant presence and follow-up by my spouse - doing a lot of what I would expect a general contractor to do. MW is a lot better than other contractors I have had, but fell below expectations (based on reviews I read at the time of signing my contract). A lot of issues resulted from a lack of communication or miscommunication between MW and their subcontractors. We signed a contract in May 2013, expecting work to begin relatively soon. Work did not begin until after labor day. I have an extra row of lights in the kitchen due to a lack of passing design details onto the electrician, and the electrician did not put the appropriate ampage in the light switch - my spouse found this and it had to be corrected - potential hazard with an overheaded light switch! The join between the house and the addition was not done correctly. We had to have that completely redone by another roofing company. It makes me mad when contractor's work will not hold up for the long term - this had already been addressed once by MW. The AC unit in the addition was not installed correctly, resulting in a leak and subsequent repair in my brand new wall. My husband came up for many of the solutions regarding the tile installation in tricky areas. The kick in the pants was when we got a notice of a mechanics lien on our house due to lack of payment to a subcontractor (apparently the sub did not file some paperwork with the county). I know that is how things work, but I don't expect that from a contractor I selected because of a huge number of positive reviews on a site like Angie's List. I think that all reviewers should wait 6 months or a year to see how things stand the test of time before writing a glowing review."

"I contact Jiffy because of their great reviews to have my sink unclogged. Danny Rose was the technician that came as agreed after 10 am. He was very knowledgeable and very patient with me. I am a new home owner and asked several question regarding preventive maintenance for pipe line. He unclogged my kitchen sink and cleaned up after himself (leaving no mess in my kitchen). Thanks Danny for being polite and professional."

Paul, the owner, responded immediately to my request for an estimate. He came out the next day, which was a Sunday and provided the quote the same day. We requested an estimate from another Angie's List vendor for comparison purposes, and were quoted almost double what Paul had given us!
Work was scheduled for 5 days, and was completed in 5 days. The installers were professional and left the area clutter free after each work day. There was a misunderstanding on demo for the laundry room, we did not want the old tile replaced in this area, but the old tile was removed as part of the demo. I emailed Paul after doing my own walk through of day 1 demo and noted this issue right away. I sent my e-mail at 11:30 pm and Paul responded almost immediately. He was quick to apologize for the miscommunication issue and assured me that they would tile the laundry area at no additional expense to us. Paul made sure to be there the next morning with the installers to go over the details again. Paul was very responsive to all e-mail inquiries from beginning to end. At the end of the job, we had a final walk through and Paul fixed all small details I noted.
Again, we are very happy with the installation and the results. We highly recommend and will use them again for any future tiling jobs.

"I had light fixtures replaced, a ceiling fan removed, toilet and faucet repairs, caulking, and other minor repairs. There were two workers who worked nonstop for the four hours. After each repair/replacement, they had me inspect it to make sure it was done to my likely. When I wasn't completely happy with a caulk job, they redid it to my specifications. They completed everything on my main list, as well as, items on my secondary list. I was very pleased with their work and would hire again."

We contracted with CRG Remodeling in May 2019 for a kitchen and powder room remodel in Washington DC, and ended up doing much more, including LR/DR/hallway painting, plumbing fixes, and an office remodel. "We had a very difficult faucet to replace in a 60+ year old house and knew we couldn't do it ourselves.  I sent James pictures of the bathtub fixture and plumbing to assess the cost.  He provided a reasonable estimate and showed up on time.  I think the job ended up being much more difficult than expected, due to the age of the house and old fixture.  In spite of it taking 3 hours, with lots of minor complications, he honored the estimate and was very professional.  We will definitely hire him to do future work.
