"What a great company and experience, the salesman was professional and knowledgeable and answered every question, the installation crew was courteous and professional and the windows high quality, the house is warmer and even less outside noise. I couldn't be happier with our purchase."

"One of our rental homes had a bad house fire. We had to gut it down to the studs, kept the exterior siding, but everything else had to be replaced, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, plus walls, floors, ceilings, bathroom and kitchen. The works. Tyler from SimpleFix ran the project with his crew, kept in great communication, and stayed on it until we were satisfied with the finished work. His estimate was accurate, and we have received rave reviews from tenants about how grateful the place looks since then. We've continued to use SimpleFix for many projects since then, and we keep coming back to because they communicate promptly and get the work done right. We highly recommend SimpleFix, and we often refer them to friends and family, too."

"Clark builders did a good job! Of course most of it was done during the pandemic when supplies were low or out of stock. We’ve been happy with the work they’ve done and would recommend them to anyone looking to build new home!"

"They were incredible.  The workmanship was top-notch and they were extremely professional not only in the building and installing the railings but in their recommendations.  They made sure that the underside/support of the original deck was in good shape and brought everything up to code.  It has been a year since the job has been complete and the deck looks brand new!  I definitely recommend this company. <br />"

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Unexpected delays; job is not complete yet. No Problems. After old cabinet and wall removal, we had an inspection and got a surprise. The inspector requested we remove all drywall from ceilings in 2 rooms, kitchen and adjoining room (not in the Plan!). Bruce was patient explaining what was next, why the extra work and cost had to be, and the impact it would have on his timeline. He was very fair and made us feel confident about the project, though the whole ordeal was a stressful thing to deal with. All of this has set our finish date back. Which gives me the chance to do another review. I intend to post a before and after photo if allowed. Bruce has given us fair pricing and is thorough in answering all of our questions. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and methodical. He's always patient, even with all of our change orders! I definitely want to hire him for other custom projects down the road. Photos included are original kitchen and pass-through that was removed. Tear out was ugly, so here's an up- to-date pic from today."

"Salesman was very professional. I received 3 quotes and D&W had the best price and claimed the shortest wait time. He pointed out that they are very professional, use tethers on a roof as steep as mine (which added to the cost) and would keep the site clean. He did a good job of explaining the process and what types of materials they were going to use - shingles, underlayment, drip edge, vents, etc. <br /> When I made the deposit, I was told the wait time was 2-3 weeks and the job would likely be completed in 1 day but may take 2. They brought the dumpster out 5 weeks later and were to start the following day. Weather was not the best, but it took them another week to start and did not finish for 6 days after that. This is fall in Michigan and I understand weather dealys, but the weather was fine between the time I paid the deposit up until 5 weeks later. If they would have kept close to the original time line I am sure the work would have been done in 1 or 2 days as suggested and I would not have had a dumpster blocking my driveway for 2 weeks. <br /> Also, was told how great they are at keeping the jobsite clean, but during the process there were old shingles and dripedge all over the lawn, sidewalk and porch. After they left I picked up several (more than 12) nails from my driveway and also some from my neighbor's driveway. I also picked up shingles, pieces of metal, flashing, and other debris from my other neighbor's driveway. My yard, porch and flower beds also had alot of nails and debris in them - along with some sections of gutter-guards they knocked down and left at the foundation. <br /> As far as the roof goes, I am sure it is installed fine and will not leak, but a few shingles on the ridge cap are sticking up and I am nervous the wind will tear them off. And there is a spot where the step flashing is showing alot where it wasn't before but I am sure that is cosmetic only. <br /> If this is graded pass-fail, I would have to pass them. The only real problem with the delay was losing access to the driveway and garage for a week, but it was easy enough to work around. I am dissappointed in the mess both during and after the job, especially after being told how great they were in this area. I can put the gutter guards back up and I am sure ridge cap and step flashing are not major issues. <br />"

"<p> Prior to engaging AA we had bids from two contractors both of whom told us the two damaged windows could not be repaired but must be replaced. When Pat from AA was interviewed he told us that both windows could be repaired and did not need to be replaced. He was as good as his word. Pat was most courteous, thoughtful and very knowledgeable. He is a professional who thoroughly knows his business from a practical standpoint, and from a relational standpoint as well. He came when he said he would; he did the work in the time he said he would, he did not stand around talking in his cell phone but rather stayed with his work. The windows look great, the storms look great, his work was totally satisfactory, and because of the knowledge of his trade and his skill he saved us from spending money that we did not need to spend. A strong recommendation is what we would give this company. <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Mount Morris, MI

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
