"I am very pleased and even amazed at the transformation of my back yard. First, I must compliment Jesse, the landscape architect who designed my project. I had very specific "wants and needs" which he incorporated perfectly. The renderings and plans were excellent. The job supervisor, Leo, was very impressive. Even though he was overseeing quite a few other jobs, he never forgot any details or tweeks I wanted in my project. He was always very responsive. It took approximately 3 months to complete my project. I'm sure it would have taken other companies much longer as I saw happening when my neighbors had landscape work done at their homes. Many days there were 5-7 men on my job; they showed up promptly at 7 AM and worked very hard all day. They would also clean up the site at the end of each day. They were very experienced, as evidenced by the great work they did. I am a very particular person, so I closely watched the work being done. Santiago was often on-site and always checked the plans to be sure the job was being built as specified, He also expertly did much of the work himself. My backyard went from having very little useable or functional space to a place where I can easily entertain 50 or more people. When the job was done they did the final TLC, as Leo calls it, and they even washed my lower story windows and patio doors that were bordering the construction site. Final compliments to Jessica the office admin person and Richard the owner of the company. Unfortunately the photos were taken on a cloudy day and don't do the project justice."

"Randy is a true professional and knows his craft inside and out.  Our new driveway is just beautiful and based on all the work done to prepare the driveway (depth of dirt and gravel, compression, rebar placement) I know we got a top-notch product.     We are beyond happy with the experience of working with Randy.  It was a three-day project but he came out a day early to do some prep work to ensure the next step (digging up the old asphalt driveway) would go smoothly.  He was the first to arrive and the last to leave each day.  His work ethic cannot be faulted and was very respectful of us and our property.   Randy kept us informed every step of the way and if there were any changes or delays he communicated them to us.   His estimate was MUCH less than the two other estimates we got and he was much more professional than the other two project managers. "The first guy came over and took pictures on an ipad and gave an estimate. I have tile on the first portion of the roof and then the rest is a graded flat roof. He entered the roof from the front meaning he walked on the tiles. After the repairs we completed, we had another big storm and the roof leaked where the tiles were. I later learned you are not supposed to walk on tile. I think he may have disturbed something causing the new leak. He was professional and explained all of the costs, showed me photos. The actual repair person came while I was at work and did the repairs. He sent pictures of all of the completed work. The leak that I called for repair was repaired and never leaked again. He cleaned up the roof as well. I was happy with this. I tried contacting them again but never received a reply. Overall, they got the job done but I believe more care should be taken on a tile roof. I think they should be more responsive to emails because I would have used them again. They were responsive to the initial scheduling and consultation but after that, I could not get a reply."

"I would highly recommend Joe for any type of home remodeling project mainly to anything that Is similar to ours! Joes work is very professional and his knowledgeable about home remodeling is high as well (as to building codes & restrictions). As far as the design - Joe was very talented in that part too. He managed his people on a daily basis in a s professionally manner while making sure that each day they will complete the required tasks in no less than perfect. "B & G Tile and Construction recently completed a garage addition at
my home in the Windsor Hills area of Los Angeles.  My husband and I were
referred to B & G by another contractor who previously provided a
bid on the Project using our plan set developed by an architect  we
hired prior to the bid process and got approved by L.A. City Bldg. &
Safety plan check.  Little did we know that the drawing set contained
omissions which B & G identified prior to demolition and called to
our attention.   B & G also anticipated the Bldg. inspector would
require the extension of a retaining wall which was not correctly 
defined in the 'approved' plan.   This raised the cost of the bid for
the project which is never good news; however, it was identified early
in the process and the contract was revised to include the additional work prior to demolition.
My husband and I received a number
of bids for the project from other Contractors which ranged
significantly less as well as more.  However, we determined that the contractors either
did not catch the architect's errors and underbid or did identify the error and
purposely unberbidded while expecting to obtain change orders mid-project to cover any unexpected
conditions.
 
I'm glad we engaged B & G Tile to complete the project; Joe Giram,
was always available by phone and text when we had questions or required
updates on progress.  If we had it to do over again, we would not have
hired the architect to develop a plan set without an experienced
contractor/Project Manager reviewing the plan in relation to existing
conditions and identifying discrepancies prior to beginning the bid process.  Just
because you have what you think is an 'approved' plan set from Los
Angeles Bldg. & Safety, you are still at the mercy of the assigned
Bldg. Inspector who can require changes in the field once construction begins.
 B& G was up to the task of dealing with our architect's errors as
well as the assigned Bldg. and Safety Inspector's demands and we would
recommend them, particularly for additions to existing property with difficult conditions.
