"After a particularly heavy rain I noticed that the well water in my newly purchased home had clouded up a bit. I contacted Amos Pump and they came out and went over the various situation that could cause my issue and what they thought would be the best way to address it. I agreed that as a initial attempt it made sense to raise the well pump up off of the bottom of the well and install a whole house water filter. I made an appointment to have the work performed and it was done as they said it would be. The water has improved dramatically and is normally clear. I am going to play around with various filter options and see what happens. <br /> The bottom line is that these guys didn't come out to the house and tell me that the sky was falling and I would need to spend thousands to take care of the issue. They didn't promise me that my water would be 100% perfect after the intial work was performed. We found it near the meter, so we call our local Water-Sewer Authority, who sent out a nice gentleman who said the problem was on <em>our</em> side of the meter so it was up to us to repair it. Foster Plumbing was out first thing. But they couldn't turn the water off because the "curb valve" on the <em>WSA</em> side of the meter was broken. Foster Plumbing wasted no time calling the WSA for us, and told us what was going on. WSA came back out and fixed their part of the job.
