This delayed the start, and although it did take longer than I expected, everything came out great. They did not charge me extra after the water damage was exposed, which was a relief. One of the other estimates I got from a general contractor was for 3x as much, AND they planned to add on after the wall was opened. The bathroom specialists wanted 150% of what we paid, and I think we ended up with better results."

"Overall the project went very well. We interviewed 5 different contractors and picked Vic because we liked his price, we liked the fact that he was going to do most of the work himself, and we felt that we could work with him. The project was supposed to be done in about a month, and ended up taking close to 2 months. Part of the delay was materials and the plumber, and a few days were lost because of surgery and a previously scheduled vacation, but ultimately we did get the bathroom and tub room we had hoped for. Although we were originally considering luxury vinyl, Vic did steer us toward tile. He did an excellent job of installing the tile on the floor and around the new tub, and it all looks beautiful. He also did several small things at the end of the project (such as replacing towel bars in another bathroom, installing a curtain rods and a shade, and replacing an electrical outlet) at no cost."

"I am very pleased with Renovate Construction. The original project was to completely redo one bathroom (replace existing fixtures in the same place) and add a shower to a very small half bath. During the project we discovered a few additional things that needed to be fixed (a gap in siding on the outside of our half bath was causing a leak, a leaky window in the basement meant that we needed to redo the drywall downstairs, and I asked to replace carpet on the upstairs with hardwood plus repaint the stairwell), and they were helpful and reactive to each new project. Everyone, whether the Renovate Construction crew or a subcontractor who worked on the project, was very good at their job. There were a few small mistakes, and they were fixed with no issue. Additionally, every person that I interacted with was professional, but more than that, they were nice to be around! That is so important when a crew is working in and around your home for weeks on end. Our project ended up being bigger than I had initially planned, for the reasons above, but the team stayed on time, on budget and in good contact with me throughout the process. I am pretty picky about fixtures and things, and they worked with me when I wanted some very specific tile, a customized sink, asked them to install vintage or Ikea elements, etc. We were having separate electrical work done at the same time, and they did a great job of coordinating with them as well. I loved their ideas and their work; I would definitely work with Renovate Construction on another project. I'm already dreaming of what my new kitchen will look like."
