"I really checked them out. They are an amazing company. Just the other day we signed the contract, stuff was ordered and the sales person came back and introduced me to the project manager. They pull all the permits. They had an ad in the newspaper for like 50% off materials or something. They are audited by the Better Business Bureau and they are not just making up a price and giving you 50% off like some companies do. When they say they are giving you a discount it is off the price that they would have charged just a month before. They bring in what the windows are going to look like and stuff like that on the enclosed thing. It's really impressed me so far. The price I would say is very reasonable. We even decided to make a room larger because we were so impressed with the company and their pricing."

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"esInitially it started out well but as is typical in this industry, things start to fall off.  He is able to do most phases of construction but prefers trimwork.  The scope of work that we had didn't fit where he wanted to be.  If it was a single job that he was being hired for, I think he would be good.  He did good work but we do a lot of custom stuff and that throws our subs off sometimes.  Super nice guy and I felt that he was trustworthy. <br />"

"We bought a 1920s house that needed a new kitchen. Mike gave us a very detailed estimate and recommended a kitchen designer to help me design the project. We decided to add a doorway through an exterior brick wall to create a doorway into the adjoining sunroom instead of removing the wall between the kitchen and formal dining room. This maintained the original character of the house while still giving some "flow" into the former sunroom. The walls and floors of both rooms were taken down to the studs and the new foam insulation was sprayed inside the walls of the sunroom. A new exterior door was installed out to the back porch, The entire kitchen and sunroom were sheet rocked and new tile floors installed to both rooms. The kitchen was wired, plumbed for gas and water and beautiful kitchen cabinets and granite installed. One thing Mike Von Behren is particularly good at is replacing/restoring the molding, baseboards and door frames to match the original millwork in the house. The finished kitchen/family room is a beautiful addition to this older home and we have enjoyed it very much. Working with Mike was a pleasure-communication was great and he is very detailed and has a great team. I would definitely recommend Von Behren for any home building/remodeling projects where quality, attention to detail and excellent communication are important concerns. <br />"

"They did a great job, but need to communicate very clearly what you expect and what they plan to do.  We had a question on what was to be done, but in the end they followed through on what they said they would do and we are enjoying our sunroom dry and sunny.  We felt good with the workmanship and hired them later on to replace some gutter on the house. <br />"

"Lorton's employees were on time and did a great job on our roof. The only down side I saw was the fact that they didn't run the magnet around the garage as they were supposed to a second time. I ended up with a flat tired from the roofing nails in the gravel outside my garage door. I also picked up over a dozen of them off the patio right next to the garage."

"The roofers for Erie Construction arrived around nine o'clock each morning. I was glad they were not any earlier because I work second shift and usually sleep until ten a.m. I had asked them to watch out for two little bushes that were in the line of fire of the old roofing being dropped. The roofers made a plywood tent that they placed over the bushes to protect them. At the end of each working day the roofers had picked up anything that they had dropped like old roofing or new scraps of roofing. They also placed their tools and unused materials out of the way until the next day. They worked on the roof in sections, only removing the old roof as they needed to leave time to put on the new roofing each day. They removed the gutters to do the job and put them back in place after they were done. The roofers were friendly and willingly answered any questions we had. We are pleased with the final result because the metal roof we chose is unrecognizable from traditional asphalt shingles and will last for at least fifty years."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Mozier, IL

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
