Very friendly and honest. I was a meat cutter for 32 years. And in that time , I became very knowledgeable customer service and the importance of being honest with your customers and guaranteeing your work. I have found through my life that I'm very knowledgeable about how things work and mechanically inclined so therefore, I can do a lot. I can weld, I can do plumbing, I can do small engine work etc

"Plumber's supplier closed. Purchased sink drain apparatus from Home Depot. Usually not impressed with quality of most Home Depot products. We'll see how these hold up.
The price for the service and parts seemed WAY over the top.
The overall experience, otherwise, was OK.

"During the pumping of the tank it was discovered that both baffles needed to be replaced and the drain field needed to be serviced. Jim was very professional and explained everything that would be done to fix the problem. His pricing was fair and upfront and he was able to fix the problem the next week. The crew that worked on the project in the cold were respectful and friendly."

"Joe called in advance to let me know he was on his way from his previous call and was running 20 minutes late, also due to snowy road conditions; and as such he even arrived earlier than expected.  He then assessed the problem, taking pictures of the piping in the crawl space to show me where the issue existed, causing water to leak out into the garage floor.  He then unclogged the blockage in the pipes under the house and fixed the situation; and provided a 30 day guarantee on his work.

"Never had a problem. Their process is the easiest. You just call AHS with your problem, they get one of their screened providers to call you and set an appointment, the guy comes to either fix the problem on the spot (cost to you, $75 fixed), OR he comes, inspects, and gives a quote that may include things not covered by your contract (cost to you, $75 fixed). Then you either ok any additional costs and he fixes, or you ok if it's no additional costs and he fixes. If you don't like quote, call AHS and get a 2nd quote from another screened provider for no additional cost. What could be easier?"

FAQs for drain clog or blockage clearing projects in Murphy, ID

Snaking a simple clog near a tub, toilet, or sink often takes about five minutes. Deeper blockages along the main line can stretch the job to a few hours because the pro must feed extra cable and may need a camera to confirm the pipe is clear. Either way, specialized tools help pros work quickly and keep your drains running for the long haul.

Aggressive snaking can scratch pipes, push debris deeper, or even crack older lines. That risk is low with an experienced plumber who matches the cable size to the pipe and eases the snake through bends instead of forcing it. If you’re unsure of your technique—or your pipes are already fragile—calling a licensed pro is the safest, and often cheapest, move.

Start with simple barriers: mesh screens on every tub, shower, and sink keep hair, food bits, and jewelry out of the pipes. Skip harsh chemicals; a monthly flush with hot (not boiling) water clears light buildup without damaging plastic lines. Finally, practice smart disposal—no grease, wipes, or kitty litter down the drain—and schedule routine cleanings if you have older plumbing.

Roto‑Rooter typically charges a flat $160 to $450 for standard snaking, which may include a quick sewer inspection and basic clean‑out. Exact pricing depends on the clog’s location and complexity. Repairs or part replacements fall outside that flat fee, so ask for a line‑item estimate if your tech spots broken pipe sections or recommends additional work.

Most liquid cleaners rely on caustic chemicals that eat through hair and grime—but they also erode metal and even some plastics over time. Repeated use strips protective pipe coatings and can leave you with leaks or premature failures. If hot water or a plunger doesn’t help, call a plumber for mechanical removal instead of pouring more chemicals down the line.
