"Zane was fantastic! Our basement floor looks incredible. He was open and honest with pricing. He is meticulous and has great attention to detail. He went above and beyond when moving appliances by cleaning my dryer vent and probably saving it from eventually catching fire. He even wiped the outside and it looked brand new! I have recommended his work to several others and will be hiring him again for all future updates."

"Noelle did a great job with the design and we were able to have them installed in just a few weeks. Everyone was very responsive and the kitchen looks great. The price was on point as well and the cabinets, granite counters and floor (we did this separate) match perfectly. BKG did a great job of keeping us informed of each step and anticipating our needs. We will be referring them to our friends!"

"Our tile presented unique challenges...the walls and ceiling are covered by a classic and quot;pigmented structural glassand quot; made by PPG back in the 1940s and 1950s. PPG called their version of this glass by the brand name Carrara.
We were very concerned about protecting the original look of the bathroom and Patrick Shannon was more than up to the task.
The entire project was completed without any of the glass tiles being compromised.
In addition, Patrick upgraded much of the bathroom's caulking and grouting.
My wife and I were very impressed and pleased with Patrick's contributions. He was, at all times, professional and competent.

"Marvin did a wonderful job with our home. The initial request was to was to prime and paint the interior. Over the course of our project, scope expanded to include minor drywall repair, applying poly sealant to wood ceiling, and lacquering 3-story tall stone fireplace. Marvin was able to accommodate all our requests and work around our schedule. Entire job was done in great quality, very quickly and efficiently, and cleanup completed promptly."

"From my first interaction with Robert and through the whole repair process, I could not have been more pleased. He was timely, responsive, and the work he and his crew did was excellent, leaving my home just as clean when they left. There was no plaster dust! They repaired several places where roof leaks had caused the plaster to collapse, as well as a couple other plaster issues in my 100-year-old home. AND he was reasonably priced. I highly recommend Robert Dell'Aquila Plastering!"

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Murrysville, PA

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
