"We hired another contractor to remove and replace existing tile then replace with tile we purchased. (1500 sq ft). This first contractor apparently was in way over his head. We had a timeline that needed to be met and he assured us he could finish the job on time. That did not happen. I fired the first contractor. Called and left a message-Jeff who was on vacation but took the time to return my call. He made some calls and one of his tile guys was at my home that afternoon. Steve assessed the damage the first contractor did: he said he could fix some of the mistakes and finish the job (30+ years experience). Steve and Stephen made that happen. They cut out and grounded out some grout-Reduced the dust as well reset some tiles and finished what the first contractor couldn’t. We are happy with the results and I would recommend these guys They cleaned up at the end of each day-totally respected out home. Call these guys if you you are thinking of replacing your tile"

"This was a big project and took several months to complete (in part because we needed at least one working bathroom at all times and because we took time off for the holidays, both Thanksgiving and Christmas). Throughout the project, owners Lisa and Mark were in constant communication with us -- in person, by phone, and by email and text. They coordinated the plumbing and countertop people for us, and picked up supplies as needed, delivering them in a timely manner. Several of their team worked on the project including Dan, Sean, and Steve. Dan completed the majority of the work on all three bathrooms (about 90%) -- at all times, he was professional, courteous, punctual, and just an overall great guy. He took obvious pride in his work and was meticulous, never rushing or cutting corners, and always cleaned up his work space each day -- we could not have asked for a more dedicated professional. "We were very pleased with the services provided by Gilbert Design Build. We wanted to renovate the kitchen and to place an accent wall with electric fireplace and TV in the living room. The project begins with meeting the president and the designer to discuss ideas and samples see if we're all a good fit. The designer and president then visit the house to see the exact spaces to be built or renovated. The project manager then completes measurements and designer orders materials. When all materials are on hand the site manager schedules the professionals in tile, plumbing, electrical, and framing to their dates Each was pleasant, worked with cleanliness, and delivered a great product. Only two glitches occurred in the process: 1. The distance between the TV and the fireplace heater was not sufficient. This took more tiling but was corrected. 2. The pots and pans rack was very noisy. This was corrected with drawers. Overall a very professional job by Gilbert Design and Build."
