"Overall no complaints on quality of communication and service. My biggest issue was an apparent lack of knowledge or explanation and the options provided. Tech was straightforward that the sealed system lost all the coolant....no explanation as to why other than a leak in one of the coils (condenser or evaporator)....no mention of a leaky compressor. He gave me the option to do nothing ($90 non-refundable service call) or spend $280 to attempt to charge the system. I mistakenly took the later option which after some trials and tribulations the tech reported we had sufficient pressure and coolant for the fridge to being cooling.....it never did. We let the unit run about 3 hours and then the compressor gave the familiar knocking....quick search yields - "A "compressor knock" in a fridge indicates a failing compressor, usually caused by internal wear or a broken piston pin, where the piston bangs against the housing when the unit cycles". Disappointing outcome."

"We have a home that was built in 1930, that is loaded with charm but needed some adapting to our family’s needs. It had two too many doors and one large window that we never used because it looked directly at the neighbor’s driveway! We also needed to have new windows and floors installed, custom bookshelves built, and of course new paint. We decided to hire Fred because from Day One you could tell he was someone that was knowledgable and someone you can trust. Having someone you can trust to do projects in your home is so important because they become a part of your lives for at least a month or so! Fred took care of everything: the supples, installation, paint, and making sure that the brick installers completed the job successfully as well. I now have an office that used to be an “all weather” porch that I can actually be in all day, another office/second bedroom that has more wall space thanks to the seamless work Fred did in closing up a large window and door (not to mention it was with plaster!) He was really precise in doing “delicate demo” since we were trying to save as much of the old house charm as possible. We were even able to use one of the doors in my new office, and it looks beautiful. Cost wise, everything was up front and there were no surprises (even though he was very gracious about us adding items along the way (like extra plugs and installing a storm door). We also had our attic re-insulated and part of our floor lifted which Fred took care of as well. He communicated with us every step along the way, which is also so important. We hope to have a custom closet installed in the near future and will definitely call Fred to do that project as well! 10/10 recommend Fred Oakley for your home renovations!"

"They did a good job and the workers were great the only issue i have is they didnt install a water shut off even though i had one in the old system and i wasn’t told the price i was given to do the job didnt include one until the end of the job i would have paid extra for it i had to change a water filter since the job was done and i have to go to the street to turn off the water if i have a busted line in winter and the box is covered in ice and snow how will i get the water off this is my only gripe about the work no full disclosure i was in a rush to get it fixed it was leaking bad they should disclosed that when the estimate was done its made me rethink using them in the future"
