"Installed central air, moved hot water heater to basement, put ceiling vent fan in bathrooms, had to install attic duct fans, plumbed me for a gas stove and gas dryer. It's an old house and wasn't easy. They had to crawl under my house to do it. My hat is off to Scott for that. They came a week earlier than they said they could and were polite, fast and efficient. I am impressed and very satisfied. Best service I have had in my home for a long time."

"I only use James when I need some work done to my house. He responds fast, gets the work done quicker than just about anyone else I've ever used and seems very concerned with leaving his customers happy."

"We obtained several bids for the job as is recommended, and this company was included in the first round of bids. We actually did not initially choose this estimate as it was a little on the high side, and also preferred to work with someone that could be recommended from a friend. We found another contractor, recommended by a friend and due to an interesting turn of luck, he could not do it and had to call in a cousin to do the job and it turned out to be Ty Jessop who owns Refined Construction & Design. The project itself turned out wonderfully. We are very happy with the end result. The overall quality of the work was good. It did run over our original budget, but to be fair Ty was trying to work from his cousin's estimate. He was always very responsive, professional, punctual and a pleasure to work with. The only negatives from the job was while the overall work was good, there were aspects that prevented the job from being outstanding. The work of Ty, and another contractor who helped him (his cousin Jake Barlow, Jake Barlow Construction) were excellent. The countertop, cabinet and electrical sub-contractors were excellent. The drywall sub was good. The worst sub was the tiler. The quality of the work was only OK, and he sometimes did not show up when he was meant to. Ty and Jake were great about chasing him up, but even with their oversight it did not help sometimes. My advice would be if there is a problem with someone not showing up when they were meant to, to let Ty know, as he does eventually get them to show up."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Nephi, UT

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
