"Overall it went smoothly without major hitches. There we some delays in getting the windows delivered but that was not on the company. I also did not negotiate to paint the exterior window frames which would have been easy to do at the time of installation. Because it is a second story unit I had to pay someone to do this after the windows were installed. But besides that it was a good experience and was done without issues and it was on time. Their price was competitive. The folks who did the work and the estimates were friendly and professional and the quality of work was excellent."

"I found these company online and I hired them to replace all the existing windows and patio doors with new fiberglass (Milgard) Ultra windows and a double French door from them a few months ago for our renovation. They provided us with an awesome price for the windows and doors themselves and for the labor of the installation as well. The representative that I spoke to was very professional and he came over to my house on the time and day that was scheduled ahead of time via the office. The people that we were involved with (including the installers and the sales man), was definitely outstanding. We had a minor issues that accorded during install, and they provided awesome post-sale support as well. I recommended them to all my friends and family as a great company for any energy efficient products. They are fantastic. And have some Sunday hours, which is absolutely a great help. We purchased 2 additional exterior doors from them and this was an add on that we decided to do in the last minute and after the work was stated. We were sure that they won’t be able to do it during the same time… but they did it and it went so smooth and excellent. Should've gone to Landmark construction energy crew for those too. "The painting result was superb.  The only glitch had to do with the estimates (the initial walk-through verbal estimate and the written estimate) and the final cost.  The written estimate was 33% higher than the verbal estimate (...bedroom doors plus casings were verbally quoted as being included in the cost of bedroom jobs but, in the written estimate, the doors plus casings were an additional expense---and the per bedroom cost also increased between verbal and written estimates) and the final cost was 17% higher than the written estimate (...the bedroom baseboards apparently were overlooked in the written estimate).  Therefore, the final cost was 56% greater than the verbal estimate (...but the verbal estimate means nothing even if it was confirmed by two people).  The reasons given for the inconsistency between written estimate and final cost were "it took longer than expected", "I didn't see the baseboards at first", and "the boss will be upset if I don't charge more".  I was unhappy but agreed to pay the final-cost demand.

Prior to interior painting, I had the exterior done by Stanford as well.  The result was likewise excellent and, thankfully, the written estimate and final cost were the same number! (...there was no verbal estimate provided during the exterior walk-around).

Lastly, we initially let the estimator know that we used Angie's List for contractor selection.  I knew that Stanford Painting offered an Angie's List discount.  At final payment, I had forgotten about the discount and was not reminded by the estimator and so therefore wasn't able to take advantage of it."

"Roy’s Builders helped turn my vision for my bathroom remodel into a reality. The quality of the shower tile, flooring and custom mirror/shower glass exceeded my expectations. The installation of the work is really well done and looks exactly as I had envisioned and communicated. The communication was excellent! My family and I are overall really happy with the quality that Roy delivered for the services with the bathroom remodel, all new hardwood flooring and painting in our home."

"They installed about 160 feet of redwood privacy fence with three gates and an additional gated enclosure for a heat pump. For the wood fence itself they did excellent work. Quality material and accommodated some unusual features which meant the entire job was done by one contractor. The owner suggested and installed special gate latches that allow entry with a code on a keypad, which actually got them the job. Their failing was the crew doing the work did not understand how that special gate latch worked, and how to construct a gate to properly use it. I am handy with tools so I was able to spend a day to modify and add to their work to make the latch work. Not everyone is in a position to do that. They over-promised in that crew doing the actual installation needed more guidance for a completely successful installation. So if you have a standard fence and gates with standard Home Depot style hardware, I would recommend them. But if you need something unusual they really are not able to handle it and you need to plan to get that skill set elsewhere."

"I had great difficulty finding anyone willing to do this job at all. They were extremely professional and did a wonderful job. They cleaned up, vacuumed and washed down the driveway before they left. It was a great value.
