A bit disappointing, I don't know if it's Angie's Lists' fault or what, but I input I needed an electrician, and their name popped up. They need to put something in their description that there is a job $ minimum and what that minimum is."

"I was a little nervous about ordering windows on the internet using measurements I'd taken myself, but I loved the design on the website so, initially I only ordered 2 windows to check the quality, my ability to measure accurately and the company's ability to build to my measurements. Jeff, the salesman I dealt with was attentive without being overwhelming and the first order was delivered in about 4 weeks. The windows were exactly what I was looking for and fitting them was a breeze. I followed up with another order for the remaining 13 windows in my porch and again, they arrived quickly, were of great quality, exactly to size and easy to fit. Looking forward to see how they last their first winter."

"Once I got him, he is great. He came and looked at the gates that needed the rebuilt after delays due to the weather. I expected that. Once he looked at the work to be done he was ready to do it within next two days. Very prompt. Very nice too. A little pricey though. I could have gone with a competitor for $50 less but wanted to give him the work. CAUTION: have him tell you if he can get to you in a timely manner. I urged him to be upfront with people and tell them if he is so busy and to have one or two referrals if he is too busy to get to you. The work he does is top notch and it’s a shame people have dinged him on here for being too busy. Ask, ask and then...ask again."

"Subcontractors were mostly good, but management of them was lacking. I had to personally supervise them because the on site contractor rarely stayed very long. Told the trim finish crew to leave because they did not know how to install crown molding. Got another crew that knew what they were doing. They never asked for periodic payments during the job (as is typical); presented one huge bill at the end. Holland homes builds nice homes, but I would not recommend them for small jobs like mine because you do not get the best crews and you have to wait for them to fit you into their schedule."

"They were very good with windows. We were very unhappy with some of their dry wall work and decks work. We will not recommend them for painting. We spent about $20,000. They were not communicative about the painting. They were not responsive to our feedback about the quality. They did not align their painting with our desires. We will not use this company again in the future."

"We were so fortunate to find North Alabama Builders! Brent, Patrick & Misty were awesome they kept us informed every step of the way. We felt comfortable with Brent & Misty on day one when they came to look at the job we wanted done (which was not a easy task). Brent was extremely cautious since the job was vaulting our ceiling he brought a Engineer out 3 times to make sure it could be done properly before he accepted the job. Of course, it was not the greatest thing living thru a remodel but Brent and Patrick kept the job site clean each day! They were very respectful our home and once the job was complete they did a complete cleanup. We couldn't be happier with the way our project looks! Thank you North Alabama Builders!"

"<p>Provider arrived on time, discussed details of build. Carperters arreived early, stayuntil about 4:30 pm. Carpenters VERY efficient, worked very quickly, little to no waste of time or materials. They also kept us informed of progress, intended return dates and times. They were very good at cleanup at end of day as well as end or their involvement. Drywallers wanted to borrow tools, arrived late, left early, slow to complete. Painters worked well excepting one individual with no eye for details. Details included one rather large area, creating delay, unnecessary return. Overall, the project rated a B, including no attempt to keep us informed of plans.
