This is a company that not only answers their phone, but is happy to answer your questions and is friendly, knowledgeable, thorough and professional. When they had something to check on, they got back to you in a timely manner. Their crew who did the installation arrived in the timeframe we were promised, and they were also friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and cleaned up their mess when they were done. Another reason we liked using them for our roof project is they were able to replace a faulty gutter and a broken piece of siding hanging down on the roof, precluding us from having to find someone else to do that. We will be calling American Craftsmen when we want to replace our siding and windows. They take pride in how they do things, and it’s easy to see why they have so many great reviews. "We had a set of three projects, as follows: Replacement of Masonite siding with Hardieboard. Gutters replaced with Gutter Guard. Excellent execution. Minor issues corrected on-the-spot. Deck repair and refinishing. Needed to be right, plus no splatter on the new siding. Done perfectly. Roof shingles replaced with upgraded materials. We had a flu sweep through the crew. Storms impacted the schedule, and we insisted that the roofers take no chances with slippery conditions and lightning. A few issues resulted from these nature-sourced interruptions. However, the project manager kept us in-the-loop, and through his efforts and that of the owner, Mike, all issues were addressed, excellently. Costs reflect all three phases."

He helped me get through the insurance process and was available when I needed to communicate with him. We also added on gutter service; they removed the old gutters and replaced with larger ones, and even added gutters to our detached garage. His team did an amazing job. "Labor day weekend, this year, we were hit with a nasty hailstorm. I thought we had escaped unscathed but, then, my neighbors started saying that they needed to have their roofs replaced. That was when I, begrudgingly, figured that it was in my family's best interest to have professionals examine the roof. I hate the process of finding a contractor. Most of them, even if they respond initially, never get back to me. Perhaps it's because I'm female and they don't take me seriously (joke's on them because I execute all of the major financial decisions in my household), but I also suspect that there has been an increasing lack of integrity in the contractor profession, as a whole. He responded to our first call the day that we made it, and he showed up prepared with lots of information, pictures of previous jobs, and even a list of other houses that he had worked on in the area. He was more than willing to work with what our insurance company required. Anytime that I contacted him, I could expect a response within the same day.
