"Pat arrived on time and proceeded to work, moving furniture to ensure all the carpet was stretched. It was necessary to seam some joints which he did so that the seam is invisible. <br /> It was an all day job but Pat worked consistently, other than taking a lunch break, of course, until it was done. The whole job took from about 10 am to 6 pm. I am pleased with the results and would highly recommend Pat. <br />"

"Leone flooring took care of carpet re-stretching in my new home over Memorial Day weekend. Not only did Jim squeeze me into his busy schedule to accommodate my move-in schedule, he and his co-worker were on-time (even a couple minutes early) and got right to work. The carpet was vacuumed and all scraps removed, leaving me with carpets ready for the cleaner. The re-stretching turned out great, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Jim for any future flooring needs."

"Our design consultant Michael Cruz, was very friendly, helpful and determined to get the discount we asked about even though it wasn't in the system yet. He also arrived wearing a mask, without me asking him to put one on. Scheduling was very professional, easy, and nice. The carpet installers did a good job too, got everything done in one day. We chose Molyneaux for their great prices on quality carpet, but their friendly team made it easy for us to want to use their services again in the future. "

"This was our second time purchasing from Molyneaux and our experience with Ron Kuprik and with the carpet installation team was exceptional, once again. Ron is very professional, kind, and helpful. They were able to get our project done on a short timeline, cleaned up after themselves, and even left us with some extra carpeting. We will continue to use this local company in the future."

"I placed an order for two bound carpets in February with Megan Baird at Molyeaux in Oakmont. I was scheduled for delivery the week of March 16, but the pandemic and quarantine hit and with everything closed, I had to wait. Once things started opening up again, I contacted Megan and she provided the excellent customer support that I've relied on with Molyneaux. She worked with my schedule, kept in touch, and truly went above and beyond. I go back to Molyneaux not because it's convenient, but because their sales associates truly DO care about providing their customers with the best service possible. I love my bound carpets, and I appreciate their efforts to make everything go as smoothly as possible, even during a pandemic."

"Professional from beginning to end. I just bought my first home and was looking to carpet 3 bedrooms. I worked with Amy Walsh and she was great coming to our house and helping pick out styles that matched both in design and need."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in New Kensington, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
