"Tom and his son Tommy did a wonderful job. Removing our relatively new railing and then replacing it back after the deck was completed was a challenge that other contractors could not guarantee. The railings went back exactly as before, without any damage or lost pieces. They arrived on time and removed all of the old cedar two level decking. They made sure all of the sub-structure was in good condition, and replaced/reinforced where ever was necessary. They even demolished the existing steps, and built an entire new stairs. I had an existing problem with wood rot under my sliding glass door, but Tom adding flashing and insured that the new decking was slightly sloped away from the door to keep rain and moisture away from the wood base. Their overall workmanship was outstanding. They cleaned up the premises so well, that you wouldn't even know they were here. We had received estimates from several companies, but what we liked about Russett was that they only do decks, and they do it themselves......no subcontracting. I would highly recommend them to anyone."

Jim came by to look at the job and provided guidance on what needed to be done to replace the porch posts. He patiently answered all of our questions. The price they quoted was reasonable. Once we signed the contract the work was scheduled without any delays. The porch posts were replaced with care and the job was done to our liking. We very much appreciate the work done by Jim’s team. His team was very detail oriented. Overall we were very happy with his work."

"We needed a new walkway (or patio) to connect our front porch to the garage (to replace the original quartz stone, board, & flagstone design), a new front porch (since the boards were rotting), and we needed the EverGrain Composite Decking of our back deck power-washed and stained. Deckmaster was the only contractor who could do all three jobs, and the finished product on all three was great, and they gave us a great price. They redid the stairs on the back deck and gave us an extra step on the front porch, both of which we really like. Deckmaster was patient while we got our homeowner's association to approve the design, and they were very responsive and reasonable every step of the way. I'd definitely hire them again and highly recommend."

He even threw in washing of deck chairs and storage box that were moldy from being outside! "My 3rd floor deck was way overdue for some major maintenance, and I wanted to go composite, but first I had to find the right contractor to install it. After much searching I settled on the great guys from Joist Construction. They were communicative, affordable and available to start almost right away. Their crew pulled out all of the old boards, brought up all of the new composite wood, and replaced the whole deck in ONE day! They also replaced a joist that was in bad shape and did an excellent job navigating several deck floor penetrations, including uninstalling and reinstalling a lattice that keeps them out of sight. Overall I was incredibly impressed with their speed and attention to detail. Could not ask for nicer guys who went above and beyond to make the experience painless!"
