"Very professional crew, showed up on time for an appraisal for foundation repairs on a home we were contemplating buying. They did a very detailed job and explained everything well. They were very clear about the scope of work and the timeline and gave me confidence that what they were telling me was what needed to be done. If I need another appraisal I would go to them again. Well worth the cost (which gets credited to the work if ordered.)"

"I have owned four properties in New Orleans, including two that are over a hundred years old. Needless to say, shifting piers and termite-damaged sills are an inevitable part of my life! Fortunately, someone recommended Lauricella & Sons to me the first time I needed a foundation repair. Since then, I've hired them so many times, I've quit counting! As a realtor and a landlord, I know how important it is to have foundation work done correctly, and I know I'm in good hands with Dave Lauricella. When he takes on a job, he doesn't farm it out to his underlings, so to speak; he and Dave, Jr. are there, doing the work, for the entire duration of the job. And not only are they thorough, they consistently go above and beyond. I recently hired them to replace a sill that had major water damage from an undetected leak in a window frame. In addition to replacing the sill and checking all the piers under the house and making minor repairs as needed, they repaired and repainted the window frames - and Dave, Sr. even reglazed another window, just for the heck of it! (And he did a pristine job, I might add!) The Lauricellas are true artisans. They even do their own millwork, which means they can take on repairs to historic houses that many carpenters these days might not be able to handle. As if all of that weren’t enough, these guys are also a delight to talk to, which makes it really nice to have them working at my property. I’ve been using Lauricella & Sons for over a decade now, and, obviously, I just can’t say enough good things about them!"

"Jeff has done several jobs for us, and we have always been happy with the results. This time, though, he went above and beyond. He came to our house on a Saturday to consult on a window repair. As he was leaving, I casually asked him about a plumbing issue we were having. Several hours later, Jeff was still at our house, determined to resolve the issue. He stayed well past dark working outside and sought out a friend of a friend for advice and assistance. Since then, he has reached out to us and provided follow up to make sure the problem is permanently resolved. We appreciate his tenacity and breadth of experience. We will most definitely continue to hire Jeff."

"Couldn't have asked for better service. Visit for estimate was prompt and well explained. The family in the house next door to ours also contracted for the same service. Turned out that our house did not need as much sand as predicted, so the final cost was for the actual amount used -- half the estimate. The other house was much worse than ours so the final cost met the estimate but in no way was more than that. Arrival was on time, clean-up performed as promised. This is a big job that requires heavy equipment in the street but completed in one day per house so not much fuss or muss. Homeowners across the street watched the performance and are now contacting Gators to pump sand under their own houses. <br />"

"Troy came out on July 11 to look at our roof and give us an estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable about roofs and was able to quickly assess the entire roof and determine our problem. We had a leak under our carport. It appears that the roofers who installed our roof after Katrina did not lay them correctly on part of our roof - thus causing a leak. <br /> We had another company come out but they did not do the assessment that Troy did. So even though the 2nd company's bid was much less, we decided to go with Country Wide due to their knowledge. <br /> Country Wide asked for a $2300 deposit which my husband gave them. I am never comfortable about giving deposits and would prefer not to. <br /> There was difficult on getting a service date for the work to be done. This was frustrating for us as my husband and I travel a lot and we wanted to be here for the install. <br /> When we shared this with Troy, he was able to give us a date for roof repair. He commented that they were having difficulty getting the shingles. But Troy later called and stated he found some and the instillation was scheduled for later that week. <br /> On the day of install....they arrived on time and the crew seemed to know what they were doing. Additionally, they cleaned up very well after. <br /> My husband and I are very pleased with the quality of work and would recommend them to anyone needing a roof repair or replaced. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in New Orleans, LA

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
