"I had an outrageous quote (nearly $2K) from a big multi service contractor and looked here for a small business electrician. Daniel of Imperial Electric came out straight away and fixed the problem down the line that had taken out power to two of the kitchen outlets. It was a puzzle but he solved it for $260. I will be referring him to friends and family."

"After reading the stellar reviews regarding B.A. Electric, I knew I was making the right decision in having Bart work on our home. Bart came to my house to take a look at and quote the project the same day I called. Prior to the date of the project, I took the initiative to remove the outlets/ switch and place wire nuts on the wires. Bart was appreciative that I had semi-prepped the project. I also had the new outlets and cover plates readily available. On the day of the project, Bart and his assistant arrived on time and professionally prepped the work area to prevent damaging the floor and easing clean-up. Bart was able to relocate two electrical outlets without creating any wall damage or scuffs. Bart advised me of each step in the process and was very kind, thorough, considerate, and attentive. Bart was also teaching his assistant simultaneously and I noticed how patient of a teacher that Bart is. I will have Bart back for additional work in other areas of the house and have already advised family members in the area of Bart's services and work ethic."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Newark, IL

Wiring conversions for relocating outlets require upgrading the existing wiring to the correct amperage before installing the new outlet. This step ensures that the circuit safely supports the outlet's power demand. Engaging a professional guarantees that the alterations meet current electrical standards, thereby ensuring a safe and efficient installation overall.

Installing an outlet can be completed in 30 minutes, but professionals charge a minimum labor fee covering one to two hours of work. This fee accounts for travel, setup, and any extra tasks that may be required during the installation process. Bundling additional services with the installation can lead to overall cost savings while upholding stringent safety standards.
