"In our new house, there was a large (20ft by 25ft) bonus room that wasn't very useful. In early 2018, we wanted to convert it into a bedroom, a bathroom and a small study. We solicited quotes from three contractors, including Superior Building Concepts. When Stan arrived, he looked around, took some notes, asked a couple of questions, and left - the whole thing took 5-10min. We were wondering if he was really that interested in the project... but when the three quotes came in, his was in the middle, but was by far the most detailed, with everything broken up into line items. And, it was thought out better than the other two - in spite of him spending only 5-10min at the house. So, we signed up with Stan to get the work done. The work itself included framing for the new walls/doors, plumbing for the bathroom, installing tile, marble countertop, custom cabinetry, bathtub, new windows (for egress), insulation work, painting, new lighting etc. Multiple adjustments to the plan were made to accommodate our preferences - Stan was very flexible in changing the plan, gave us new adjusted quotes for everything. I've attached some pictures - two of them are of the original bonus room, and the rest are the bedroom/bathroom/study after the work was done. Overall, Stan's quiet competence, work ethic, honesty, flexibility and professionalism were incredible - this was the best contractor experience we've ever had. Since then, Stan has become our go-to general contractor for everything, and we've recommended him to family/friends ever since. (I'll write another review on the deck replacement Stan did.) We would recommend Stan for any contractor work without reservations."

"We had Golden Hawk do a complete reroofing of our home. It was a pleasure working with Miguel, the Roofing Technician, to come up with a complete plan for the job, and a very reasonable estimate. Cesar, the company owner, is a great boss, expert craftsman, and hard worker, who put in as much work as any of his dedicated team. Not only did they tear off the old roofing and install new material for the house and garage, but they also reattached all our rain gutters, replacing the old nails with screws, and replaced some of the old decayed fascia boards. Additionally, they made a couple of repairs to our back fence unasked, what a wonderful surprise! And when the work was completed, they cleaned up the yard perfectly. Cesar and his efficient team did all of this work in just one and a half days! A great professional job, beautifully done. And later Miguel followed up just to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate calling Cesar for any other roofing job we might need in the future, and I would recommend Golden Hawk for anyone who might want expert work done on their roof at a reasonable cost."

When it came time to find a contractor, I joined the cadre of friends who had contacted many contractors with no return calls. Ron of R3J Residential Services was one who did. Working with R3J Residential Services was a stellar experience. Ron had suggestions when I was hesitant about what to do next, but always deferred to my wishes. His business practices are very transparent. I always knew what the next step was, and when it was going to happened. I found his prices reasonable, and so did my insurance company. He occasionally offered cost-cutting suggestions when he knew I had a tight budget, but he never "cut corners" or did less than quality work. I appreciated the care that his subcontractors used in my home. More important to me, I appreciate his ethics and I had no issues with him working in my home when I was not there.
