"Hi, I am an old customer of Select Basement for many years. This is my incredibly happy and satisfied review on the service call by Kenny M. First the backstory. The alarm went off on my battery backup on Wednesday early evening I called Select several times and no one got back to me. I just wanted to know if this was a serious problem. Considering all the rain we were having that week. This was unusual for Select not to return my call in a timely manner from the great service I had received from Select Basement for many years. I explained to the customer service representatives who took my calls who were very professional and tried to help but to no avail no one called me to answer my question. I received a called back Friday morning to set up an appointment for Monday to look at the alarm on the battery backup to the sump pump. I inquired if our annual maintenance check could be performed at the same time and was told yes. Monday morning Kenny called to say “He was on his way”. My appointment was at 8, he arrived 7:45. This was great because I had a 9:00 virtual business meeting. I explained my frustration with Select Basement and merging with Groundworks. Kenny took the time to explain the system changes and how things work now with Groundworks. Kenny proceeded to look at the battery and said it is working properly now. He asked how long we have had it. I said several years he recommend changing the battery, which he did. Kenny also performed the maintenance of flushing the French drain system to make sure that is still working fine. He took several pictures along the way to validate what he was doing. He addressed the dehumidifier that we have, he adjusted it so it would drain into the nearest little french drain hole. Kenny did a great job. He was careful to address all the issues that he thought needed to be addressed. Kenny was very professional and respectful technician leaving no mess behind. Our water has a lot of iron ore, Kenny cleaned the ore around the pump and also offered a recommendation on how to reduce the ore around the pump. He also explained the difference in the service pricing for the warranty offered. I appreciated Kenny taking the time to explain everything that Groundworks now offers to their customers. I know Select Basement and Groundworks merged only a few months back. However, the most important thing is customer service. If I called on Wednesday night thinking I am having an emergency, I should not have to wait for my call to be returned on Friday morning. I text Jason from Select Basement late that evening since no one got back to me right away . Jason responded right away and put my fears to rest and suggested a few options for the alarm shut off that did not work. He said he would pass the issue to the one of the managers. There has to be better response to customer when several calls are made with not even a touch point call back. Thank God by basement was not flooded. Select would have lost a customer."

"Great! Cory provide estimate the same day. Once the parts I ordered arrived, Don was able to move up my appointment to better fit my schedule. Cory and Don arrived early on the day of the job after giving me a call ahead of time. They completed all work originally and cleaned everything up. Original estimate right on target. I liked that they answered their phones when I called and/or returned calls within 24hrs after leaving a message. Cory and Don were very polite and wore masks. Thanks for a doing a great job!"

"I needed my Sump Pump replaced. The Technician, Mark, did an excellent job. HOWEVER, I had priced the cost of a new pump at around $300, but Perri charged me $1200 + tax for the installation. OUTRAGEOUS "

"Of course my pump failed on a Sunday afternoon. I called North Jersey Pump and received a return call that night. They were here first thing Monday morning and were somehow able to rewire the pump so I had water, but a replacement was inevitable. They had to remove a part of my brick walkway and deck stairs so they could dig (by shovel) to locate the well 4 or 5 feet underground. They were careful to limit their work area and thankfully did not have to disturb the Belgian block or driveway. The pump and an indoor tank was replaced 2 days later after bad weather passed. I was frequently updated during the day with their progress. I am so glad my equipment is updated. The well head is above ground now and the new tank in my basement is a much more efficient set up. Thanks, guys, for getting us up and running again!"
