Ryan Corley, Mr. Electric’s wire detection specialist, was able to locate the wire accurately. Electricians Jeff Shipkosky and Khefren Johnson spent two and a half very long days, in 93-degree heat, digging around the perimeter of my house. Both ends of the damaged wire were eventually located six feet underground, which is considerable deeper than code requires. Mr. John Sherlock arrived at the time and date specified to give us an estimate.  He returned the following day with his assistant and performed the job in one day.  He installed 26 copper lightning rods on the flat roof of our 7,000 square foot home.  These rods were connected with 500 feet of heavy duty copper cable and were grounded at three points with ground rods going down through the drainpipes into the ground. All parts of the system were securely attached to the roof.  He did a neat job and cleaned up all excess materials.  We were very pleased with the job him did.  Since installation of the lightning rod system we have had no trouble with lightning striking the house or causing power outages or surges.

"The technician was thorough and the ducts were clean after he left. I had asked the company to send a tarp to protect the floors and furniture and they assured me that it was not necessary and there would be no mess.  However, the ducts hadn't been cleaned in quite a while (the previous owner of our home likely never cleaned them in the 10 years he lived in the home) and there was dust and debris on the floor and furniture (including on my bed) when the technician left. It was not the technician's fault -- it was just dusty and dirty inside the vents and he had to remove the vent covers to get his machine in there.  But since he didn't use a tarp or have a shop vac, I had to spend around an hour cleaning everything once he left and was finding dust bunnies for days even though my housekeepers had done a thorough cleaning and vacuuming job hours before the technician arrived.
