We had done several smaller projects "DIY" but when it came to knocking down several walls to renovate our kitchen, we knew we wanted to hire trusted professionals. We had looked at 2 other contractors before deciding to proceed with Perry Bros. Every member of the crew was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. We lived in the house during construction and the crew did a great job keeping the work area clean after each day of work. There were several situations throughout the project that required us to change and adapt our plans. Each time, the Perry Bros crew provided helpful guidance and recommendations. There were a few scenarios where they helped accommodate slight changes to stay within our budget. "I spent over a year trying to get our home renovation project off the ground. We met with many contractors that either found our project too large or too small. Our plans included adding on a 16x16 room, a large two-tiered deck, and renovating the entire first floor. Ryan came to check out our project and within no time had an all-inclusive estimate prepared for us. It was priced very reasonable and his presentation gave us comfort that he could handle our job. Ryan's crew was very considerate, especially considering we were staying in our home during the duration of the project. They were timely, requested consent to be there at various times and worked consistently to get our project done. Part of the project included custom doors and non-tradition trim/detail work. "Three terms you don't hear when speaking about contractors : Honesty, timely and effecient and pride of Workmanship. If you use Liam Neary Construction you will be using these terms and smiling as you tell others about your amazing experience. I had a leak in my roof with water coming in through the chimney. The water came into the utilitiy room creating a mini swimming pool and the hot water tank shut down. Liam came out within an hour of my phone call got my water running showed me how to clean the sensor for the future and reset the hot water tank. He scheduled to come out later that day to replace flashing on the roof to hopefully fix the problem. Unfortunately for me, it was not the full resolution. In the next rainstorm, I got water in the chimney again and reached out to Liam. This time it was a saturday and was thinking I might see him at the start of the work week or need to pay crazy money just to get him to show up. This was not my experience he showed up in 2 hours reviewed what he had done and come up with a new solution. He determined that the chimney needed some additional work and adjusted the price because of the original work that he had done correctly, but did not solve the problem completely. "We wanted a design and build firm to make design/cost tradeoffs. It went great as the project was done well, under budget, and quicker than expected. They act as a general contractor and you can be as little or as much as involved as you want. For things we had strong opinions on we met with the subs also. We've been in the space 6+ months and haven't had any problems. Our basement has been dry (they installed a perimeter drain)."

"Gil from NE carpentry did a lot of work for me. The most impressive was that Gil worked with me to repair my interior front porch after a massive leak during a storm destroyed it. Because my house is on the beach and very exposed, every other contractor declined the job. Gil and his team were very rigorous and patient and they did succeed in waterproofing the porch. They did rebuild it and did fantastic work. The team communicates well, is always on time, does a great job and always clean after the workday. Their prices are very fair and transparent. I will continue to work with NE carpentry and I highly recommend them."

Antonio and his crew, (and I'm lumping in his
subs for the plumbing and electrical parts here), did an outstanding
job on our renovation project. Renovation projects can be stressful and
Antonio did a great job through the whole project. He was always
reachable when we had a question or a concern and always made it a
priority to make sure we were satisfied with the results. In some cases that meant working with us on what we wanted, leaving out samples for us to look at when we got home, or even sending picture text messages to make sure it's what we wanted before doing it. It's those types of things that make a big difference in the final result.
All renovation project encounter problems. In our case we had a few design
issues as well as delays with our counter tops that held up plumbing install and a few other things. First off these are problems that were not caused by
  Antonio's team but rather reinforce the need to hire a team like them who can help you through it and work around it.
Finding the right contractor is as much
about personality fit as it is about finding one with the right skill set. I'm going to level with you. My wife and I can be tough customers. An engineer and   and architectual designer by trade, I'll admit we can be picky about certain parts of the project. Maybe that's an understatement, I don't know, but more importantly I think that says something about our contractor. You have to Antonio for his patience, attention to detail and pride in his work. They were evident throughout the project and most importantly in the final result. I have no reservations about hiring him and his team again for future work to our home.
