"The estimator came to our home as promised to review our needs for a central air conditioner and furnace replacement. He looked around including other floors, but did not perform a manual 'J' calculation. He did not feel that our ductwork return on the bedroom floor was sufficiently large enough to provide adequate cooling for this area. He proposed a 5 ton condenser. A previous contractor, who also did not perform a 'J' calculation recommended a 3-1/2 condenser. In the end we chose Fujitsu mini-split ductless systems from another contractor who did do the 'J' calculation, for cooling and supplemental heating and to keep our existing furnace for the time being as backup. I don't feel that All Phases was necessarily wrong in their proposal but my wife and I felt more excited about mini-split systems which we had not heard of before."

"Called Burke and Sons to replace a ruptured how water heater, they were prompt in getting over but not much else was good. Two very young guys came over and did the work. They were not very professional but the job got done, so I didn't really care. I never really check the area where the heater is, and today I was in that closet and it's a mess. One of the vent pipes seems to have a leak and there is a bit of mold on the floor underneath the tank. The previous tanks in that spot had been there for almost 20 years with no such issues. Also, since it was urgent, no hot water, I didn't get prices which was also a mistake. My neighbor (condo complex) needed a new tank about a month later but got prices before having the work done and paid about 850.00 for the exact same setup that cost me 1150.00. I actually ran into the guy bringing his tank in and I stopped to talk to him and he was amazed at how much I paid, and asked if there was an office where he could leave his card. He figured he woud get a lot of business, being that much cheaper."
