"We hired them to install drywall after a flood where the lower half of the walls had to be ripped off. They were prompt, courteous, and accommodating. At a first glance, their work seemed to be very good, but the finishing part was not around the plug ins, lower part, and corners."

"Two repairmen arrived the same day and correctly assessed the problem. So far, so good. My dryer vent was clogged. Then they wanted to charge me $300 to clean the vent. I hesitated when I heard that and wondered aloud if I could take care of that myself. I was told that I could pay now for them to clean it with their brushes "specially made" to do the job, or pay them when they had to come back later (implying that I wouldn't be able to do it). I paid them their service call fee ($75 - applies to total fee if they perform work) and sent them off. Turns out you can buy the "special" brush at Home Depot for $20. It's not hard to clean the duct. So I saved my self approximately $205 and more because it's sure to happen again someday, and I will never have to buy another duct cleaning brush! I attached a photo of the brush in case that is helpful to anyone. You can even attach it to a drill to make it spin easily! : )"

"The guys came out to assess the situation to replace bathroom vent. They had to go into attic which was too hot to work. They suggested returning the next morning. They arrived early and quickly replaced the unit. I was very pleased with their work and clean up afterwards."

"I am thoroughly appreciative. They came to uninstall my dishwasher and replaced it with the new one when the last person told me it couldn't be done. I am definitely hiring again for all my future needs."

"Company is responsive,  professional,  and trustworthy.  Best Home Solutions has great   difficulty with obtaining parts  from local suppliers, which has been evident from many notes here on Angie's list.  The technician who confirmed that the problem was the compressor did all he could immediately to obtain the new part, but the local supplier was unresponsive.  This problem is ongoing, and seems to be of great frustration to BHS workers.  I was able to order the new compressor in a timely way by calling a friend of mine who is a regional sales representative for Whirlpool.  That part is to arrive on Friday of this week, three days from now, and the Best Home Solutions technician is willing to do the installation.  I wish to continue with their service.  Dick Nugent <br />"

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in North Little Rock, AR

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
