"The grout around the old 4-inch tiles in our little bathroom could not handle the use from 5 people. It was always so hard to clean—beyond help. Jan 28, 2016: We wanted vanities for 2 bathrooms and base and upper cabinets for a kitchen expansion. We were hoping to take advantage of free design services from Kitchen Design Center of Framingham (KCOF).

The cabinets did not meet our expectations. Instead of getting bathroom vanities we received kitchen cabinets for the bathrooms, meaning the vanities were significantly deeper than normal bath vanities. We provided the cabinet designer with specs for our bath sinks but the designer neglected to check to see if the sink would fit into the cabinet that they designed. After the marble counter was already produced we found out that the sink wouldn't fit and the solution proposed by Kitchen Design Center of Framingham was to cut down the sides of the cabinet and drawer boxes significantly. This solution was unacceptable and would void our warranty. Instead we found a replacement sink which would fit the cabinet and replaced the marble counter. Kitchen Design Center of Framingham refused to take any responsibility for their design error. Reluctantly, Kitchen Design Center of Framingham agreed to split the cost of the replacement marble counter, but insisted that these sorts of design issues happen all the time - yikes! In reality, we paid $580 for "free" design services.

The kitchen cabinets installation was also disappointing. None of the cabinet doors and drawer fronts line up as they should. The installers insisted that the cabinets were installed in the best possible way and said that it isn't possible to align the doors and drawer fronts, blaming the situation on the Wood Mode cabinets. During the design process we weren't notified that this would be the case. In fact, we don't believe that Wood Mode would make cabinets which didn't allow alignment of doors and drawer fronts. In fact, the entire rest of our kitchen is Wood Mode cabinets which align very nicely.

March 16, 2016: Following our initial review, Dave Bartlett at KCOF contacted us to see what could be done to rectify the situation. He agreed to pay the remaining balance ($580) for the marble countertop that wasn't used due to the sink change. He also agreed to come to the house and look at the door and drawer alignment issues. During his visit, he identified 2 issues and arranged to have these issues addressed. As a result, the alignment on the drawer and cabinet doors is improved.

"We needed it done ASAP. Three other companies either could not do it for at least a month or did not return our call. The Siding Guy responded to our phone call within the hour and came out to evaluate the job within 2 hours. He had wood delivered by a local lumber yard the following day and called that evening to say to expect them at our house at 7:00 A.M. the next morning. True to their word they were there on time (several minutes early actually) and they worked throughout the day and completed the job. The entire crew was friendly, courteous and professional. They did an excellent job--. we are very pleased with the 'final product'. Truthfully we did not look too much into price so I cannot comment on how competitive their price was. It wasn't cheap but was no doubt in the ballpark with other local contractors. Because we were having difficulty finding someone to do this "small job", when they said they could squeeze it into their schedule (and their price was within the range we anticipated) we just said, "Do it". We are not disappointed with that decision."

"Aguimar responded promptly to our inquiry, did a thorough on-site inspection, and provided a detailed estimate. He also offered recommendations (for example, replacing window and door casing to coordinate with new kitchen decor), which he quoted as separate options for our consideration without any pressure to accept. We did agree to this work, and it made a huge difference in the wonderful end result."

Four different options were provided, from replacing a leaking faucet to replacing the sink and faucet, with prices for each.

I choose to replace the sink and have a new faucet installed.

The work was documented and completed on schedule.  I'm very happy with the results.
