"Vecton put siding, insulation, and gutters on our house in Brighton this July 2020. We were totally pleased with the work. Tom helped us refine our choices, gave us a great price. Material shortages in the time of COVID prolonged the job, but they kept in communication with us. End result great, they dealt with minor issues that came up, would use them again."

"This was a disaster that left me so angry I was literally Shaking! This company was sent by HSA Home Warranty another disaster look them up before you sign up. Anyway Simco was supposed to inspect the hot water heater for a leak to be replaced under the home warranty. The guy right off made a backhanded threat that he wouldn't condemn us and then became accusatory about the insulation on the water pipes saying what are you hiding here...the insulation was on the hot water side and was there when we bought the home this past November then he started nosing around and making other ******** comments. I worked in the trades myself and got very alarmed as he constantly was looking at gas pipes etc. This home had an engineer performed and certified inspection last November. I cant imagine what would have happened with an elderly and or female client. When I started questioning him he became very defensive and when I left to get my phone to record him in action he decided to leave!! Thank god for that!!! This is the worst experience of my 60 years."

"Horrible experience w/Andy of GSD Contracting. Hired him to put in a 40x30 garage with well, septic & generator w/propane tank, was going to stay in camper in garage while getting a cabin built on my land. I work out of town & told Andy I needed him to get all permits for work. He got building permit. Sent Andy $$ for building materials & generator w/propane tank. Had footer inspection that Andy canceled @ didn?t tell me for a week after. Code enforcement told me no well or septic on property without a living space. Andy said it was a misunderstanding. Then says he can?t continue work daughter is sick. Says he will refund all my $$. Sent all but 8k back. Said he didn?t know why the 8k wasn?t returned he would look into it. 6 months he keeps saying he?s checking on it. Turned him into Rochester fraud dept. He emailed them that I owed him the 8k for work done & he said he attached invoice. Attachment was blank. Stopped responding to them."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in North-Greece, NY

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
