"<p>First impressions of the company were positive during several calls to the office to setup the appointment.  I received a reminder call a day before to confirm that the appointment still worked for me.  The tech, Jason, called me an hour prior and asked if he could stop by earlier, no problem.  Arrived promptly, truck clean, in good condition, well organized.  He listened to my description of the problem, then spent time troubleshooting.  Once he figured out the issue, he clearly communicated what was wrong and the options to repair it, entertaining all of my questions.  Received a quote to do the repair and an expectation of when and how long it would take.</p> <p>This is the first time I needed work to be done on my furnace, in 10 years or so, and I did not have a contractor prior to this.  I will call Brandon again next year for a full furnace inspection, very happy with this first experience.</p> <br />"

"On Thursday, the technician (David) came to my house to look at two projects: replacing a leaking electric water heater, and installing a new gas line (in my crawlspace) to my masonry fireplace so I can convert from wood to gas logs. He explained my options, and quoted prices for these options. I asked if he could do the work on the upcoming Saturday, and he scheduled this before he left! I ordered the gas tankless water heater and the gas line to my fireplace. By the way, I had 3 different plumbers look at this work, WyattWorks had the lowest prices. On Saturday David and Alex arrived early in the morning and worked past 6:30 PM to complete both jobs. The installations were great. Everything to code, and with neat, high quality workmanship and thoroughly tested. They cleaned up the work areas and hauled away my old water heater. In other words, a typical WyattWorks job."

"I needed a home boiler replaced. I had one other quote before I checked with HomeAdvisor so I ended up paying someone else $80.00 for a service call. Blind & Sons came out and did a comprehensive workup to make sure what size unit I needed. The other guys just looked at the old boiler and gave me a price. Seems I didn&apos;t need one as big as was previously installed. I feel Blind was much more professional and the installation went without a hitch. They even worked me in as a priority as it was very chilly a month ago. I&apos;m more than satisfied. Thank you."

"Great! They scheduled within about a week of the inspection. But after only an hour's work beginning at the curb, they found an existing damaged drain we hadn't known about. A quick hose check showed it serves 2 of 3 downspouts, so they cleaned it and connected their new curb outlet. With most of the quoted job not needed, we had them connect the last downspout that we hadn't planned on at this time. Final hose check showed strong clear flow out to the curb from the farthest downspout. The public sidewalk panel was replaced exactly as found. It was all done in one morning and still saved us 1/3 from the estimate. That's much of the cost of a replacement water heater, so we'll soon hire them for that thanks to quality of work and savings."

"Our basement drains backed up water into the basement on Monday, April 7, 2014.  I called Mr. Rooter and spoke to the receptionist who was very helpful and polite.  Both times we dealt with the office staff, they were very courteous and helpful. The worker was scheduled for that day without an emergency charge.  They called to tell me that the worker was running late and when he was on his way.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The worker, Ian, came into our house.  He did put on booties, I presume to protect our floors, but then he wore them outside in the rain and tracked in the dirt and water back in our house.  He came into our basement, barely looked at the drain (the water was already cleaned up in the basement) and told us we could either snake the drain for about $275 with a 30 day warranty or use a jet stream of water to clear the drain for about $600 with a year warranty.  As we had never had a drain problem in the 5 years we lived in the house, we decided to snake the drain.  He brought in the machine to snake the drain and complained that he didn't like using it at all.  He snaked the drain about 25 feet without encountering a blockage.  The drain was draining at that point.  We used the Angie's List coupon to knock the price down to $215. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />5 days later, our drain backed up again late Saturday evening.  We arranged for Mr. Rooter to come back out because of the warranty.  We scheduled it for the next day as we had plans Saturday night.  This time the worker snaked the drain all the way to the street.  The drain was working correctly.  He told us that the jet stream would likely have broken a pipe and that we should get our pipes underneath the house and in the yard replaced.  To get an estimate from Mr. Rooter, it would cost us over $400.  When I asked what the $400 would get us, the worker basically said they spray paint where the pipe is on the lawn.   We declined to spend the $400, at which point we were told that Mr. Rooter wouldn't come back out if the drain backs up again.  So much for the 30 day warranty.  So glad I didn't spend the extra money on the jet stream service.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The drain hasn't backed up in the 8 days since Mr. Rooter was out last.  I think the first guy didn't really know what he was doing which is why the drain backed up again.  I did feel like both workers were trying to upsell the entire time, and that we spent more than we should have for a drain to be snaked.  Overall, I don't have confidence in Mr. Rooter and would not use them again. <br />"
