Paul C. arrived promptly, and covered everything carefully to avoid getting soot on anything in the room. Paul explained everything to me, and was polite and friendly, and honored the verbal quotation. I plan to have him back in summer of 2023 to replace the metal exhaust on the roof."

The other place we used to install the chimney caps used cables that rusted out and broke. MetroWest replaced the cable with stainless steel cables, which shouldn't ever rust."

We were quoted a much higher price but once we removed the wall and they had access to the area they were going to be working in, we learned that they could use our original pipe that connected our furnace to the chimney. All they needed to do was install the liner and this saved us several hundred dollars! They left the area as clean as it was when they arrived and were very professional throughout the entire process. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and I highly recommend Boxford Chimney Sweep!"

"Installation went fine until I noticed several weeks later that it was harder to keep house warm and there was significant draft by the woodstove insert. I went outside and looked at the chimney cap installed by Kevin Fredrickson and noticed it was off center of the chimney and the base of the cap was only covering 2/3rds of the opening and no insulation was placed around the liner so heat was funneling right up the chimney and outside.  I contacted Kevin and he responded within a few days and agreed to take a look.  When he arrived he didn't have the tools or ability to fix the cap due to snow so he stuffed insulation around the chimney liner from inside the house to keep the drafts down and stated he would be back in spring to fix the cap.  As of June 1, 2015 he hadn't contacted me or arrived to fix the cap so I tried to contact Kevin Fredrickson but got no response.  As of 10/9/2015  (the date of this review) Kevin had not contacted me or made any attempts to properly attach the chimney cap installed by Integrity Chimney Services LLC. <br /> <br /> On Friday October 16, 2015 Kevin stopped by and properly attached chimney cap to chimney and corrected the issue."

"They were quick, paid attention to detail and did a great job. The guys were friendly and respectful and did their best to avoid making a mess. The cost was less than what we paid elsewhere and we had them install an inset wood stove in our last 2 houses. Highly recommended."

"I have mixed feelings about A&A services. The good: * Windows are top notch and look great, installed quickly, work well 6+ months from installation * They have a carpenter as part of crew so were able to expand the size of our 6 picture windows The bad: * Installation crew was sloppy to the point of damaging our home. They left a 2 foot scratch in our hardwood floor and a large ding in a piece of molding near one of our interior doors. We brought both of these issues to the attention of our sales guy at the final inspection. He accused us of lying about the floor scratch and then said he could fix it as he had done his own floor but it would release toxic fumes and require us to leave the house for days. He then criticized the existing finish on all of our floors. Accidents happen but I know for a fact (because I was home) that the installers were working without putting anything protective on the floor and the over the top and offensive response to our legitimate complaints (scratched floors, chipped molding, overall carelessness) was quite upsetting. * Secondary complaint, they reframed the outside of the new windows with treated pine not hardwood as our usual general contractor would recommend (he weighed in after the fact) so now we have to worry about longevity and insects (carpenter bees, termites) damaging the window frames. Wouldn't be as much of an issue if they hadn't cut corners in this way. So overall, I like the windows a lot but I would never hire this company again because of how they respond to complaints and the corner cutting on wood issue."

"Sean was great. He started with the chimney for an old wood-burning cookstove that we don't use that often. We bought the house fairly recently and did not know where the clean out door was for that chimney. Sean was very patient and thorough in checking out the crawlspace beneath the house (no clean out door there!) and kept looking until he found it in a cut out in the wall in a room behind the kitchen and did the cleaning. He then inspected the main chimney for the oil furnace and said that it did not need cleaning at this time. He was on time, knowledgeable, informative, and cleaned up thoroughly."
