I really wanted someone who could think outside the box in terms of rearranging the current floor plan without building an addition. They were able to make a few suggestions about possible projects and ballpark pricing for those projects so we can decide if we want to move forward with any or all of them (e.g. add a bathroom while moving walls to keep the same number of bedrooms). We may ultimately decide it's a better value to just sell our house as is and move to a different space that has more of the features we want. It was helpful to review the possibilities with people who actually do the work; I got what I expected from a consultation with a pro; a few ideas I hadn't thought of, confirmation that most of what I want would cost more than what I'm willing to spend on this house, and also felt confident that if I move forward on a project here or in the future I'd feel good about consulting with Dana and her team again."
