"Rich was amazing throughout our entire kitchen remodel and water damage repair. His work ethic, organization, and knowledge is stellar. He was incredibly patient with all of our questions and took so much time making sure we were comfortable with our material choices and the overall process. When our dining room floor was ready to be installed, we found extensive water damage from poor builder workmanship 27 years ago. Rich diagnosed the problem, did the research and found the contractors to help, and completed the huge project in a reasonable amount of time. It really was incredible. Throughout the whole process, Rich kept us up-to-date and explained each step needed. He demonstrated integrity with his business practices, and we trusted his judgement wholeheartedly. I would highly recommend Rich Improvements to anyone who is undertaking a remodel or needs work done on their house; he truly is the best out there. "

My name is Bill. I'm a 3rd generation contractor and have been doing this for over 30 years. Since I opened Emally's Construction, I have been driven by the knowledge and principles passed down to me by my father and grandfather. Even though the products and technology have changed over the years, the people haven't. Homeowners still want an honest company that does quality work for a reasonable price. This is what we pride ourselves on. If you call for an estimate I'm the person you'll talk to. You get me every time. I have a full crew of talented people that have been with me for years. What I don't have is a salesman. At no point do I want to sell you anything. It's my job to inform you and arm you with knowledge so that you can make the proper decision that's best for you. This is an old school idea that I believe is missing in today's construction world. This means no empty promises. We put a plan together and I make sure it happens the way it's supposed to.

"I'm very much thankful for the renovation project that this company did. We couldn't be happier and satisfied with our kitchen renovation outcome. The project manager was absolutely great and professional. They kept things in motion and on track. Everyone was efficient, communicative, and dedicated to quality work from the initial consultation through the last walk-through. They are very thorough with work, up-front pricing. Excellent attention to detail and customer service. They listened to our ideas, offered great suggestions too. Great work and a high-quality contractor."

Last winter we had our bathroom remodeled to more appropriately accommodate me in my recovery process and moving forward from several strokes. We had a rep come out to give us a quote based on what we wanted/would need and after some convincing and offering of discounts, we settled on a price and worked out a loan agreement to get it done. The project was to turn our bathtub in our main bathroom into a standing shower with a grab bar to allow for ease of entry and exit for myself, plus a wider vanity to allow for both myself and my wife to use the sink at the same time. We also opted to replace the flooring, which was tile, to a vinyl that became less cool and easy to walk on. We picked out the design and style with the rep who's name I don't remember, and set a date for everything to be done. The first issue after the fact that we noticed, was that the wrong vanity had been installed. When this issue was raised, the solution was to reimburse us for part of the installation because that seemed easier at the time. Fine. Everything else seemed to be ok, so we let it go and moved on. Fast forward to today, we had a drainage issue with that shower stall and called a plumber to address the issue. In the process of doing that, he discovered that the pipe for the shower drain, which had been moved from its original placement on the initial install, had not only been installed incorrectly, but had been sealed improperly and now that the seal has begun to erode away is causing a small (for now) leak. We now have a quote for an exploration into the problem where the other company will have to open up part of the celling in the basement in order to assess the issue and determine a correct fix. That this problem exists in the first place is unacceptable and we are frankly livid with the matter."

CWE Renovations is ready to turn your project into a reality - no dream is out of reach! Our team of expert remodelers will give a thorough assessment & estimate for your project. Call today to get on our schedule!

"Our experience with CWE Renovations has been marked by a troubling lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service. Despite having a comprehensive record of issues spanning nine pages, we will have to summarize the key points here to provide a clear picture of why we strongly advise against using this contractor. Project Timeline and Delays: We were initially given an estimated completion timeline of approximately 12 weeks for our basement renovation. Contrary to this, the project has now extended well beyond 18 weeks. We were assured on two separate occasions (6/27 and 7/11) that only two weeks of work remained. Unfortunately, scheduling has been disorganized, with no clear plan to ensure tasks are completed consecutively. For instance, the electrician's work remains pending with no definitive schedule, and the carpet installation, scheduled for August 19th, was delayed due to the contractor's failure to arrange for measurement until July 26th (despite us inquiring about this since 6/27). Communication and Accountability Issues: Our attempts to gather accurate information and resolve issues have gone ignored. We discovered discrepancies when we contacted Waste Management regarding the pickup of our bagsters, only to find no record of an order. Additionally, a metal rack has been left for 2.5 weeks in our driveway due to the contractor's failure to follow up with Home Depot immediately upon it being left behind by mistake. More concerning, we found that the electrician listed on our permit had no involvement with our project. Upon investigation, we learned that the permit was improperly filed under a business' name, and the electrician ,who worked for the business, was only working on our project as a side job, potentially jeopardizing their professional standing. Overall Experience: The most disappointing aspect has been the lack of communication and ownership. We are left with an incomplete basement and are now seeking a refund for the portions of the project that have not been completed as promised. Given these significant issues, we strongly recommend avoiding CWE Renovations for any renovation projects. Our experience underscores serious concerns regarding their reliability and commitment to customer satisfaction. Everything incomplete as 8/12 (18 weeks after the start date with a 12 week estimate): Electrician to finish outlets, lights, light switches, etc (no eta) â we paid for on 7/30 Carpet Installed (given a date of 8/19 which is completely unacceptable when we have been asking about this since 6/27) we paid for on 7/30 requesting this refunded since Carpet Installation Guy does not want to work with Dan and quoted us almost half to install Trim completed around stairs and in bathroom - Paid Metal Rack Removed from Doors (Offered to reach out myself since Dan doesn't seem to have any urgency in it) -Requesting Dan cover the cost to remove on 8/15 Garbage Removed (two bagsters) We paid for on 2/26 Door Installed over the breaker box Lien Waivers from Plumber, HVAC, Electrician Railing on the stairs (which we have made clear we do not want this in until carpet is installed so we can get our couch downstairs) Paid on 4/12 invoice"

My name is Joe and I started in the remodeling business when I was just 15. I have dedicated my life to learning the remodeling industry. We offer full remodels and specialize in kitchen, bathroom, and basement remodeling - give us your ideas and we make them into reality!

"Awesome, Joe was a true professional and did exactly what he said he would do installing our LVP. He explained that he would use floor leveling and what we should expect since our sub floor was so unlevel. It turned out great! We plan on calling him for future projects."

Kitchen remodels FAQs

A small kitchen renovation requires an average of six to nine weeks from start to finish. This timeframe accounts for all phases, including demolition, installation, and finishing touches.

Projects with complex layouts or custom elements may extend beyond this timeframe, especially if you're handling portions yourself rather than hiring professionals. Material availability and contractor scheduling also influence your project duration.

The most efficient approach begins with thorough planning and securing necessary permits. Once preparations are complete, proceed with demolition, followed by rough-in work for plumbing and electrical systems. Next comes drywall installation and painting, then cabinets and countertops. Flooring installation follows, with backsplash and fixture placement completing the major components. This sequence minimizes the risk of damaging newly installed elements.

Replacing outdated appliances during your renovation often proves worthwhile, particularly for units over 10 years old. Newer models offer improved energy efficiency along with enhanced features and reliability.

Modern appliances also contribute significantly to your kitchen's overall aesthetic appeal and can become a selling point if you later decide to list your home. Consider models with energy-saving certifications that may qualify for utility rebates.

Several financing approaches exist for kitchen renovations. Options include personal savings, home equity loans or lines of credit, personal loans, or credit cards for smaller projects. The best choice depends on your financial situation, available equity, credit standing, and project timeline. Comparing interest rates and repayment terms across different financing methods helps identify the most cost-effective solution for your specific circumstances.
