"Olsen has twice replaced the mortar on our patio steps. The first time work was completed in less than two hours, which seemed quick considering the amount of steps and price charged. About 12 months later the mortar began to crack and fall out again. Olsen completed the second repair as part of their warranty on work completed. Update: Fast forward another year, and the mortar is cracking and falling out again. Upon further investigation it was determined the problem was with the original installation of steps five years earlier by builder. Given that the original cracking started to appear two years after installation by builder, Olsen should have known this was not a normal tuckpointing job since that is their business and expertise, especially when they had to come out and redo their work under a warranty guarantee. Ultimately had to have stones removed completely and installed again with different mortar and adhesive. Olsen did not do this work as their bid was 25% more than other bid I received. I would potentially hire Olsen again, but would do my own due diligence on the potential project and not rely on Olsen for figuring things out."

"Can't say enough good things about our experience with AAA-1 Masonry & Tuckpointing. We had two holding walls with brick that was deteriorating. They power washed to identify which bricks needed to be removed and swapped out those bricks with new ones. In addition they replaced the capstones on the two walls with larger capstones to provide the walls more protection from the elements. Everything was sealed and completed flawlessly. The crew was experienced and professional. Since the work was done this summer, our walls don't even get wet from rain! We are so grateful for the expert repair but also the guidance that replacing the capstones would provide more of a long term solution. Highly recommend these guys for your masonry needs."

"I hired Johnâ s Masonry, Roofing and Construction for several projects that were all completed with excellence! Johnâ s crew did an outstanding job with the replacement of the porch/deck and footings of my 2-story building. After the deck was torn down, we realized that the roof also needed to be replaced. Without missing a beat, Johnâ s roofing crew did a great job replacing the roof. After which, the construction crew returned and did an outstanding job building the porch/deck and replacing the footings. John actually provided additional footings at no extra charge. We added tuck pointing on one side of the building while the porch/deck was underway. Johnâ s masonry crew power washed, cut out and replaced the mortar and bricks on both levels; they also fixed some cracks in the front of the building. The tuck pointing was top notch and honestly made the side of my building look brand new. Johnâ s crew also addressed foundation issues on the side of the building where water seeped in during the heavy rains. All of these projects were completed in a little over a week. Most importantly, each project was done with excellency by skilled workers. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and the value for the money. My experience with John was also amazing. He was in constant communication with me throughout the projects and was always available for my questions. "I've used Fortune Restoration in the past when I managed condominium buildings. After seeing the cedar siding work they did on a friend's house I decided to call Tom Fortune for my own residence. Tom took the time to listen and called his lead carpenter to discuss the various siding and trim options. He was able to write the estimate on the spot. They started quickly and there were no delays once they began. Their crews were communicative and professional. Tom also stopped by regularly to inspect the workmanship and make sure I was satisfied. Fortune removed the existing metal siding on the house, replaced the soffit and fascia with PVC which was quite labor intensive, sided the gable ends and small front dormer with cedar, stained the new cedar, and painted all the new trim and exterior windows. They left the area in very good condition. I'm very pleased with their responsiveness and quality of the work and recommend them without reservation."
