"2FL just completed a large project that I initiated for a duplex on Bainbridge Island, replacing the siding and all exterior doors and windows. After interviewing several companies, 2FL stood out as having competitive pricing and the most responsive and professional. And I was reassured by others who had given them a positive review. The timing of the project was important to me, as well as sensitivity to the needs of a tenant with an infant in one of the units and and elderly uncle and cousin living in the other. The management and crew dealt with this effectively, expediting the project to be completed within our timeframe and taking care not to leave hazardous conditions and kept the work areas tidy. A project manager provided oversight and communications. And as it turned out, rot was discovered behind one exterior wall when the old siding was removed that extended into the studs and floor joists. This necessitated the removal of interior sheetrock to repair the damage. The company arranged for the necessary repairs and restoration. All of the personal were delightful. They respectfully answered all our questions and promptly addressed additional needs that hadn’t occurred to us initially. We are delighted with the quality of materials and workmanship and have no complaints or regrets. I highly recommend 2FL for siding, door and window installation needs."

"The house looks fantastic. He took care of everything. This deck required engineered drawings, which he had made. He got all the permits for us. There was electrical involved and found an electrician and acted as general contractor for that as well. Really I mean he was just a very detailed. If it didn't suit him he redid it. I can't say anything bad about him. He also replaced a door and had a custom door made. The price was good given that this deck was probably about 14 x 27. It has a under deck system to channel the water that goes through it and then under that we had can lights installed. It looks fantastic. If I called them I got a response probably within minutes, or text. If he said he was going to be here at a certain time he was so I can't complain. We have had plenty of contractors and I can't say that about them. I would use him again."

"We're pretty happy with our new driveway. The concrete was nicely finished. It has been in place now for about 4 months and we've seen no cracking. Dave was an easygoing point of contact who listened to our concerns and gave some good advice. He met with me a couple of times to talk through the scope and then led the team doing the installation. In hindsight, I wish I had thought to cover a couple of details that ended up being done differently than expected. I don't hold that against them though. They gave a fair price, kept to their estimated schedule, and delivered a good product."

Best contractor one could find?Sean Carlstrom and Jerry Williams did all work, themselves, except for drywall, spackling, and granite fabrication and installation. The construction industry recognizes three grades of quality, Good, Better, and Best. Carlstrom does only ?Best.?

I got three estimates. The first was ?Good? in that the contractor wanted to install his standard kitchen on a cost plus basis. The second was ?Better? in that the contractor wanted to do all work, himself, in accordance with our wishes but seemed to lack a full understanding of the scope of the job. Only estimator Jim Sittler and owner Sean Carlstrom were able to grasp the full scope of our project and give us a fair bid for ?Best? quality. They did this with a firm contract.

Carlstrom referred to the plans consistently and never varied. If a question cropped up, they asked and complied with the decision with no sign of resistance or anxiety.
