We hired Mendez Electric, a multi-generational family business, in 2024 at the recommendation of a neighbor who had used them to completely rewire their 100-year-old home in Berkeley's Elmwood neighborhood. Mendez Electric did a full inspection and report of our electric system, which still included a lot of knob and tube. We ultimately hired Mendez Electric to undertake a major electrical project (six figure project) for our older home which included: 1) a complete system/wiring upgrade and installation of a 300 amp service panel upgrade. This work included all relevant permitting and coordination with PGE. Mendez Electric’s staff are highly knowledgeable, efficient, communicative, competitively priced and focused on high customer service.
