He determined that the issue was not with the new equipment or installation, but a different part of the system that was malfunctioning and which he and the crew would have had no reason to be concerned about. He took the time to fix it and explain what had happened. The A/C has been working perfectly since and is a noticeable improvement over the system it replaced.
