"The quality of their work is very good; however, they are much too expensive, since they hire contractors. Also, they don't accept personal checks, debit/credit cards. Considering how expensive they are, they have some nerve not to be more cooperative insofar as how their customers may pay for their services. I read one of the reviews in which the representative stated that they had been in business for ten years; however, they have not been in business for ten years in Mobile, but the Mississippi Gulf Coast instead."

"They started my patio project last summer and never returned to complete it. I paid in full for the project and they told me they would return in a week or so to complete it but never showed. I sent multiple text messages and still no-show. Would not recommend this company."

"Did a great job, but once they were paid would not call me back with the other questions I had, so make sure you don't need them for anything else. Once they are paid they seem to not respond to emails, texts or phone calls. What a shame!"

"Their name says "pressure washing" but they also do landscaping. I have a small hill in the back yard that had slowly eroded and affected the drainage of rain water toward the street. Mr Fowler scraped the yard with a tractor and provided a proper slope for drainage, then laid sod on the bare soil. The work was done quickly, efficiently, and for a reasonable price. I would hire him again and I recommend him if you have similar issues in your yard."

How Local Guy Lawn Care LLC came to be. My mom was paying someone to do her lawn for about $45 bi weekly. Seem like they was here for about 10mins doing the yard. So one day I told her to go buy a lawn mower and weedeater and I will come over and do it for her. Save her lots of money, well over time I ended up getting a few of the neighbors yards as well. One of my customers didnt speak English very well. He would always say, Local Guy you come cut my yard for me. Well it just kinda stuck so ended up using that name. Since I was right around the corner just kinda made sense. So from that push mower and weedeater I started my company. Little by little I built and established my customers and equipment. I drive on quality and customer service. Now today I have over $30,000 invested in my commercial equipment, and still have every customer I originally started with. Im not trying to get rich just an honest work for an honest pay. I enjoy getting feed back from the customers, seeing where we can approve the customer relationships. FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Ocean Springs, MS

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
