"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"They came out very quickly to assess what was happening and gave me a very clear quote on replacing my sump pump. They were available to come on the weekend and complete the job. The guys showed up early and finished in the same day. We had a great experience and would use them again. Since they replaced our pump we haven't had any issues."

"They had been out the month previous and made a fix on something with the well pump that then didn't work. If we would have been told the month before, we wouldn't have had to pay $500 the month before and we could have just replaced it then. Our interactions with them were fine. The work turned out fine. They could definitely provide estimates of expected replacement."

"The salesperson David was very honest and had no interest in upselling. He strongly advised against any interior drains for my basement, and he instead recommended an exterior drain called HydroBlox for my backyard. The estimate for the HydroBlox was $3,400. The installation occurred a few weeks later. Three employees used a machine to dig a trench in my backyard, and then because of utility lines, they hand-dug another trench in my side yard. They installed the pieces of HydroBlox and covered them with dirt. I expect the HydroBlox to properly drain the water from my yard, but if they do not, then I will update my review in the future."

"It went very well.  The guys were very professional and careful with our walls in main area of house when bringing jack hammered material out of basement.  There is a lot of residual dust in basement which need to get cleaned.  The only complaint I have is that the furnace was not wrapped during the drilling and the junk that had been air made it into our furnance electrostatic filters. <br /> I would encourage folks to use them, but to put plastic up around main house doorways so the dust is minimal in rest of house. Also anything left in basement REALLY needs to be taped up well.  Lots of fine particle dust. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Oil City, PA

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
