"With the recent snow melt and the rain we are having this may be a timely recommendation. I hope you don’t have this need, but if you do I would like to recommend Master Service Company. We had at least six estimates for waterproofing our basement and although not nearly the cheapest, we were impressed by the presentation and the personnel and low key sales approach. So, we hired them! The work was done last week and again we were impressed with the crew doing the work, the care given to hold down the dust created, the quality of the materials used, and the willingness of the crew to keep us apprised of the job as it progressed. The was great care given to cleanup of what is a very messy job. We waited until the repair had been “battle tested”, (and this inclement weather has certainly accomplished that) before writing a recommendation. We could not be more pleased at this point. "Seiber responded quickly to evaluate problems of doors not closing right, spongy floor in spots and major cracks in the garage/laundry room. The work took three days in Sept 2023. The concrete work was a little noisy at times but the results were great. The garage door closes well. Fewer drafts are coming in that room and the nearby kitchen. Cracks the could trip me up are gone. They kept me informed on the progress and didnâ  t charge anything over their detailed estimate. The concrete finishers did a really nice job. Everyone on the job was polite and very professional. We talked about making somewhat larger footers for the supports and they did that. The hoses that piped the concrete to the back of the house and crawl space access leaked in spots. After the concrete hardened it required the use of a shovel to remove the overflow. I havenâ  t heard from the company much since the repairs were done, but my phone quit about that time so that may be why. Seiber might be the one to call for your older home."

"I had some creaking floors, cracked tiles in my kitchen, and a very broken set of tiles in the corner of my bathroom that I wanted to fix, but worried that they were a result of a problem with my foundation. Not wanting to keep patching something up and never address the root of the problem, I checked out Angie's List for "foundation repair" and called Ameri-Dry to set up an appointment.
The receptionist (or whoever answered the phone) was courteous and professional, and set up an appointment for just a few days later based on my work schedule. I had a follow-up phone call the day before my scheduled appointment to confirm the work that they were coming to do, and ensure that they were sending an inspector who was experienced in the type of problems I was having.
On the day of service, the inspector, Chad, arrived right on time. We walked through the house and I showed him my problem areas, then he went into the crawlspace to check the foundation around the perimeter of the house. When he came back up to let me know what he had found, I of course feared the worst, but he told me he couldn't find a single problem with my foundation, that it all looked good. Part of me was bracing for a "but you need waterproofing" sales pitch, but that never came. He did say there was a little water on one wall inside, but I knew why (a clogged downspout during a storm a week earlier) and had already taken steps to fix that problem.
I was obviously very happy with the outcome of the inspection, and even though I didn't have any work done, I really came away impressed with the professionalism and honesty in the way this company seems to do business. Based on my experience, I would encourage any Angie's List member looking for any help with the services they offer to put them on their short list to call for an inspection/quote.
