"We received the pads, they are exactly as we ordered, seem to be excellent quality. We would certainly use this company again. The only thing that could be improved is acknowledgement of our order (which we mailed in--almost has to be done this way since one sends a graphic of the table shape with the order). We thought they would probably email us when they received the order and/or let us know about when to expect it to be filled. What did happen was that after a while, we called, and got that confirmation and estimated time over the phone."

I have been wanting to replace this driveway for several years due to sever cracks and heaving. I obtained numerous bids last fall, all of which I thought were too expensive. Disappointed, I decided to join Angie's list to look for contractors for this project. I requested a proposal from Mike in February which I thought was very reasonable and liked they way he presented himself and his approach to his business. So I told him I wanted to get it done this summer but had no other particular timeline. He gave me his quote and said he would schedule me in to his work plans. Satisfied with Mike and his quote and the reviews I had read on Angie's list, I felt like I would finally be able to get it finished. I called him in April (which did take a few times to get to him) and he confirmed my project was in line as soon as time and weather allowed.

Mike called me then in June and asked if I was ready, that he could do the job in the next couple days. I told him I have been ready for a couple years now - let's get it done. Mike stopped at my home the day before to review the job and go over the bid, which was spot on what we had agreed. He and his team showed up the next morning and had completed the work in the 2 days he said it would take. I even asked to add a 4' pad to the job for my trash containers.  

I found Mike to be very professional and a hands on manager of his crew and the job. The work was done efficiently and care was taken to keep landscaping and grounds in good order. Mike does the finish work himself and takes a great deal of pride in his work and the work of his crew. Clean up was very good and there was minimal disruption to the neighborhood. His crew came back the next day after pouring to remove forms and finish replacing sod.

He did not ask for any money up front and you could see the work completed before handing our any cash. Mike also made sure I was satisfied with the final product. I am very pleased with the results and how smoothly everything was handled. I have already received several compliments.  

As noted in several reviews, Mike is sometimes difficult to get in contact with. I talked with him about this after the job and I understand how this can be since Mike manages all the jobs himself. This is how he assures the quality work he wants to produce for his customers. He wants people to be happy with end results. This keeps him extremely busy. While I understand this can be annoying to some people, personally don't mind. If I have to make a few extra calls and wait a couple days longer to get the results I want, I believe the final product is worth it for me.

"Mike Schmidt and his crew were awesome to work with and they did a wonderful job making my kitchen ideas come to life. My house was built in 1953 and has never had any updating to speak of in the kitchen. When Mike came to my house to give me a bid, he was such an upbeat, positive person. He listened to all my ideas and always made me feel like my ideas had value. When they encountered hurdles, because my house is old, they would discuss the challenge with me in full, and brainstorm ideas with me of how to still make my ideas happen-in a way that would work. It was so helpful having them there brainstorming with me, like they could see into my head at what I was dreaming of. They truly worked on this job like it was their own house and project. Mike is a positive person and super easy to talk to. I don't think Mike every had a bad day. He seems to love life, the work he does, and customers he serves. Joe and Rick both have such expertise on the job. They quite obviously have had a lot of experience because everything they worked on turned out to be quality work. I have already recommended Mike, Joe, and Rick to a few of my friends who have been VERY happy with the work, and with the great referral. I will continue to use Schmidt Construction myself any time I need work done, and continue to recommend Schmidt Construction to my friends. I smile a big smile every time I walk into my new, beautiful IKEA Kitchen!!

The guy was great. He was very professional. He tried to work within the price range I gave him. I never used him. The company specialized in customized furnishings which is great but not for my project. I live in an older neighborhood. All I wanted was to clean up the bathroom, not really do an overhaul w/custom vanities, cabinetry etc. It wasn't the company's fault at all. Just basic (Lowe's) type of furnishings.. I felt bad because I feel like I wasted his time..I told him that. He was very kind. But if I ever decide to custom made remodel- I  WOULD DEFINITELY CALL CABINET CLAD 1ST.. W/O A DOUBT
