When they started prying off the flag stones, it turns out there was a layer of bricks and mortar on both the wall and the floor that also needed to be removed. This was a surprise. After conferring with Buck, they told me they had to raise the price to cover the cost, but it seemed perfectly reasonable. It would have taken us weeks to do it ourselves, and we would have had to rent a dumpster. Instead they got it all taken out and hauled away, and vacuumed and swept as best they could (the dust was very fine). A real bargain. <br />"
