"John installed crown and base molding throughout entire kitchen. He drywalled areas where walls had been removed and arches expanded. He was very efficient, professional, and completed the job as agreed on time and within budget. We will use him in the future for other remodeling projects!"

"I highly recommend Loft Remodeling for any home renovation or improvement needs. As first-time homeowners, we had a lot of questions about maintaining and upgrading our space, and Mike was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Not only did he fix issues quickly and efficiently, but he also took the time to explain how we could tackle similar projects ourselves in the future. Mike helped us with a wide range of tasks—from painting a room and installing a new microwave (including venting it properly), to replacing sink piping and more. He was approachable, communicated clearly every step of the way, and brought a high level of skill to each project. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to working with him again."

"It went very well. They were efficient and came prepared to complete the work we needed done. We love our new fan...its so quiet and does a great job removing the moisture out of the air. The toilet they fixed was an after thought but they ran and got the needed parts and fixed it right away. Im thankful your site lead us to H&S! I will be calling them again when we need help with a repair."

"Patrick is a class act all the way.  Polite, helpful, honest, hard-working.  He's worked for me on two occasions.  Several years ago he built a new storage shed in my backyard because the old one was rotting away.  Most other handymen didn't want the job or wanted to go with a pre-fabricated shed you can buy at a store, but Patrick built a really good shed from scratch materials.  Then a little while later he was kind enough to do some small odd jobs at my house that I was too unqualified to do myself.  I understand that Patrick is often booked far out into the future and now tends toward indoor-type jobs.  If you're lucky enough to procure his services be thankful, because he's extremely talented and concerned for his customers.  I would not hesitate to hire him again. <br />"

"I used that company for years and there was one fellow who they would sent all the time so he was all these little home repair things and I really liked him well some where along the line I don't know if he left the company or what but they started sending me another repair guy same guy and I just didn't like his work I just didn't. I probably wouldn't recommend them."

"Matt Winterberg was very professional and easy to work with. My husband was hospitalized at the time the windows were to be installed. Matt worked around our scheduled and ended up installing them in November. They did an excellent job and we are very satisfied with the Softlite Element windows. They also did repair work on our siding. We just hired them again to replace the only window we did not do in 2015."

"Required a small shed for a pair of baby goat kids. Explained what I wanted (poorly), but Leo figured it out and put together a fantastic goat building for me. The (goat) kids love it."

"This was an excellent experience for us. The work was top-notch at a fair price, and very trustworthy (we were not at the house or even in the area for the bulk of the work and Jerry communicated with us frequently). He also did some smaller items like updating smoke detectors, putting an epoxy patch on a small crack in the basement wall, etc. We have used several contractors/handymen in several cities and this was the best in our experience."

"We hired Genesis to paint the first floor of our home. Built in 1928, our home's walls are plaster and had many cracks and areas of peeling paint, not to mention several details like window frames, trim and picture railing. Genesis did a fantastic job with the painting, and our house looked like a different home when we returned after the work was finished. We were gone while the crew was painting, so I can't speak to how they behave while doing the job, but they left our house better than they found it as far as I can tell. We also really appreciated that free color consultation, and love the colors Laura helped my wife pick out. The reason I don't think I would hire them again is because of the price-they were far and away the most expensive choice by several thousands of dollars from the 4 quotes we received. We ended up going with them because we were afraid that the other painters wouldn't do as good a job, but now that we have had another excellent but not nearly as expensive painter in the house (Megna), I feel kind of silly for paying as much we did to Genesis. It was also difficult to get a hold of the guy who did the initial estimate (Jeff) once we had signed the contract, and it kind of made me feel that once they had our signatures on that contract, our satisfaction with understanding the process and being involved was a low priority. Overall, excellent workmanship, but extraordinarily expensive, and mediocre customer service."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Oregon, WI

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
