"Ken called before he came and got here on time. He was alone as he said his helper was not to be there today. He worked hard. Explained everything about my AC unit inside, air ducts and advised of things I could make it better and also what things my regular service checks should look for. He opened and cleaned the entire ac unit of ducts, sucked out, did each register, cleaned those outside and sucked and cleaned out with a roto brush while sucking. Put all back together. Little mess. I just swept floors and vacuumed a bit. His units to decrease mold installed are so much cheaper than any others! This guy is great and busy. Only Takes checks or cash, but only $199.00 for unlimited ducts /one unit. He works hard and alone took 3 hours! Good work. Sanitize also! House is clean! Thank you ! Telling my Neighbors!"

"We bought a home that unfortunately had 2 units over 20 years old. We received a letter and coupon from Service Star for annual maintenance (addressed to previous owner). We had not been having any issues with our AC but thought maintenance was pretty important, especially with summer coming. Louis came out on Tuesday, April 28th and did a thorough inspection of our units. He was very friendly, engaging and we felt confident and convinced that he was quite knowledgeable in this field. Turns out there were big issues with our unit including the huge mold issue, coil issue, fire hazard issues, etc. (yikes!). Our units were working pretty hard and getting pretty hot and there was zero efficiency going on. Basically, the life of our units had come to an end. We opted to replace the units and he gave us a pretty good deal which included upgrading the digital thermostats (pretty awesome!). My husband is a vet so there was a nice discount I appreciated how he explained everything to us and outlined what replacing the units entailed. We were pleasantly surprised that they had the units available and could start the work that day! There was a two-person crew that came in around 3:30 and was completely done and cleaned up by 10:30 pm. No small project. They were professional, competent and worked diligently to completion. We were quite impressed and what a big difference in the quality of air! We can say enough good things about Service Star, we definitely recommend them for all HVAC needs. GREAT job Service Star. Triple-A rating!!"

"Our central air conditioner stopped working on Friday a around 5:30 pm. I called my go-to company (del-air) but they couldn’t come out until Wednesday. I tried getting recommendations from Angi, and while one provider called right away, I missed the call. I called back less than a minute later, but got their vm. No one else reached out until later on Saturday. I did a web search on Saturday morning, and got a company that was willing to come on Sunday…but when they asked if the unit was more than eight years old, and I said yes, they offered to come Saturday evening. I asked why, and they said that since I had an older unit, they didn’t want me to be without air overnight. I asked why it would make a difference...I was going to be without air no matter how old the unit was, they said “that’s just the way we do things.” My wife and I talked and decided they would probably just try to sell us a new unit (based on my research between $6000 and $11,000), so we cancelled the appointment. Later Saturday morning, I texted a friend, and she recommended serviceone. I called, and they first apologized that they wouldn’t be able to come out that day…would the next day (Sunday) be ok, between 11 & 1. I said sure, and thanked them. Their technician came an hour early, was incredibly nice, diagnosed the problem, replaced the breaker and the capacitor, told me the capacitor he installed wasn’t optimum, so was going to come out on Monday to put in a better one, at no extra charge, charged me less than six hundred dollars, and had everything done in 20 minutes. I have no way of knowing if the price he charged was fair, but other than that, this was a perfect experience, and I am grateful."

"The day after we got electricity back on after Hurricane Irma we were welcomed with an air conditioner that would not cool. Prestige arrived a few hours after calling them on a busy Sunday and quickly assessed the problem. By Monday morning comfort had returned. Although I expect every A/C company to show up and say the same thing "It'll cost $9,000 and 4 weeks to fix or we can sell you a new unit." In this case the unit was installed 14 years ago and it was truly time to move on. Prestige gave me a great price on a unit and got it installed right away. "Would give 6 stars if I could! Tim was very helpful in finding an AC unit that would work best for my apartment while saving me money, which I greatly appreciate. Tim did not try to sell me a more expensive unit and was straightforward when I asked him about different sizes and efficiency ratings, helping me get the best deal while also having an AC unit that runs perfectly. As a full time college student, having to replace my AC is a huge financial burden, and Tim’s prices and service far exceeded that of bigger companies in the area who I also called for a quote, i.e. ARS & Frank Gay. Tim & AJ explained everything being done in a way that made sense, and worked around my complicated schedule. They also took extra time and effort to figure out a way to install the compressor on the roof of my building without having to rent a crane, which saved me a considerable amount of money for this job. The new unit works even better than the last one ever did, and the job was completed quickly. I greatly appreciate their friendliness, flexibility and excellent service and will be using RAIR’s services again in the future.
