But they solved the problems without tearing out any walls, which was great. Anyone receiving his services in the future is in for a treat. John deserves a "Beyond the Zone" (Military personnel will understand that terminology) pay raise he is well worth retaining as a skilled technician and one H***-of-a-nice person, a great public relations entity for ORBIT!"

"We originally found AMS via Angie's List, and the owner came out very quickly to do a free inspection and talk to use about everything he was seeing -- high potential for mold within the walls of the shower, and other possible areas (on drywall of opposite side of walls, floor, etc.) He showed us all readings on the tools he was using, talked to us in detail about what he recommended -- namely, complete destruction of the tile-walled shower due to multiple instances of bad grout (old shower) and the resultant mold problem within the walls as well as on the floor of the shower. He also recommended some touch-up painting with anti-mold paints where water spotting occurred on our main level ceiling, rather than a more complex/expensive and in his view unnecessary ceiling patch. His crew was excellent, keeping things very clean and on schedule and luckily no major issues were found besides demolishing just the existing shower and raising up the old linoleum flooring followed by completely painting all exposed areas with Aftershock anti-mold primer paint to minimize problems in the future. He stayed at the estimate of about $3K for this work as agreed. (I eventually put in a new shower and floor myself.) For his second visit, he came out for another free inspection of some mold exposed in a main level bathroom ceiling when some plaster that had been wet down a few years ago when doing some cleaning broke away. This was a very small mold spot, and had a companion of some other mold shadowed behind wallpaper. AMS did another free inspection of this problem for me today, and advised that it was something I could definitely handle myself - ceiling and walls were bone-dry all around the area and it would be simple to just remove a patch of the wallpaper (which we plan to remove in this room anyway), scrub the mold with appropriate cleaner, re-plaster the small area of the ceiling that would need it, and then paint with Aftershock primer paint. He even gave me recommendations on places to get all my materials, including the brush I would need to match the existing ceiling texture. Even when I offered to pay for the inspection, he refused -- just asked me to write up a couple reviews, which I'm happy to do. I'm the type of person that likes to find high-quality businesses to form relationships with. As much as no one wants to use a mold remediation service, I would definitely call AMS again if I need to."

"My sump pump went out. I had a membership with a home warranty company. They assigned Jerry's Plumbing. The response time was exceptional, and it was actually Jerry who responded. I found him extremely personable and friendly. You gotta like a person who has a big smile on his face. Jerry examined the sump pump. I believe it was the motor that went out. It was probably around 15 years old at the time. So, he pulled the old pump. So, he went to his truck and brought in a new pump. He explained to me that my home warranty would pay for a low-grade pump. I understood. I understood my home warranty contract. He then told him he was going to install a higher grade pump. So, I'm wondering how much that would cost me above my $100 deductible. I'll never forget his response. I can't remember it verbatim, but he essentially said, "don't worry about it. This is the sump pump you need for this house." Trust me... I was Wowed! Jerry didn't need to do that for me! But, he did. And, I'll never forget that. He immediately established know, like and trust with me. My wife and I have used Jerrys Plumbing ever since. They replaced my garbage disposal, broken internal water pipes in our home, a frost free outside hose bib, and most recently installed a water powered back up sump pump. That water powered back up sump pump really provides my family piece of mind. I've had way too much water in my finished basement because my electricity went out and my electric sump pump obviously didn't work! I don't need to shop around for a less expensive plumber that I don't know. I feel safe and secure with Jerry's Plumbing. He's my plumber for life! If I have any advice to offer it's this. "At 7pm on Saturday the 15th, In the middle of the Presidents` Day holiday, the value on my tenant’s apartment radiator started to leak at the rate of 1/2 c every half hour. My house, and the radiator, is 111 years old. I frantically called two 24 hour emergency plumbers and none of them came through. I then called Magnolia, who I had never used before, and Jose Vilche came to my house 40 minutes later. He had to drain the radiators and shut off the water flow as he could not remove the valve, but about 8:20 the next morning he arrived with his assistant, Angel, to cap that radiator and refill the system. He returned on Tuesday, as I had to work on Monday, with his supervisor who was finally able to remove the valve. The radiator stays capped until Tuesday the next week (accommodating my work schedule) when Vincent and Angel install the new valve. I had them also install a new drain valve on a second apartment radiator. So now, after all the draining and bleeding and testing for water balance, the radiators are functioning better than they ever had before. While Magnolia is not inexpensive, the cost was definately worth my peace of mind. Jose was in constant contact with me, he arrived exactly on schedule, explained each step along the way and worked diligently on my horrible problem until it was resolved. Thank you Magnolia- this was a stressful time for me and I was very satisfied with the service I had received!"
