"Overall, we had a great experience. The waterproofing job was great and works perfectly. The only downsides to our job were: 1) they were suppose to seal off the things in our basement so they didn't get dusty - the seal job wasn't good though so we are still cleaning everything off as we have time weeks later. 2) they were supposed to cosmetically fix some cracks, but it looks sloppy. They just took a caulk gun to it... In our consultation, they had mentioned they would do this pretty, smooth coating thing, which was not done. 3) they did not clean up well. Our floors had dirt all over them when they left and I had to sweep/mop myself. While the above things were annoying, the important parts of the job (the actual waterproofing) were great and look and work perfectly. So I would still give them an A."

"I originally planned to have a paver patio installed. However, after talking with Kevin on the phone and looking at pavers that had been in place for some time, I decided that a poured patio would better suit my needs. Kevin came out to my hone, listened carefully, understood what I wanted, told me what he could and would do, and gave me a quote. I really wanted stamped concrete, but the poured patio with a nice color added to the concrete was at the absolute top of my budget. He told me on that same day that he had a cancellation two weeks out and if I decided that day, I could have that slot. Otherwise it would be about eight weeks out. I gave it some thought and agreed. He had a contract to me by the next day. The two weeks passed and his crew of six or seven, including Kevin the whole time, arrived very early that morning. What happened next was a wonder to behold! They quickly put down sheets of plywood and them used walk behind power equipment in order to protect my lawn. My yard slopes so they had some digging to do to make everything level using the bottom step of the deck as their point of reference. They dug quickly and precisely putting piles of dirt around the perimeter so that I would have dirt to shore up the sides where the yard slopes away and make landscape beds around the sides. The rest was hauled away. They quickly spread the gravel which they had brought with them when they arrived. The concrete came and they were pouring about two hours after they started! The longest time period was the time waiting for the concrete to be ready to work and finish. They were completely finished with the work, had picked up the sheets of plywood, left no messes, and were on their way well before noon. I have never seen a crew work together so well, each knowing what he needed to do and when. The finished product is very nice. The bottom step of my deck is the level of the patio and the patio butts right up to the step. The patio is absolutely level so I have no puddles! I worked with the dirt that was left, edged the resulting beds with paver stones, purchased plants and have a lovely patio in my back yard. I have nothing but good things to report. I absolutely recommend O'Leary Concrete Company LLC!"

"I have some level of disappointment because Acculevel was unable to lift the patio back to its original position. That being said, I think the challenges they encountered would have been encountered by anyone else, and some of the other one-man mudjacking operations who wanted to use buckets or wheelbarrows to carry slurry back to my patio probably would have given up earlier. I chose Acculevel because they use foam instead of slurry (which should last much longer), they had a 300 foot hose solving problems with access to the backyard (I live on a steep slope with retaining walls), and I had more confidence selecting them compared to independent one-man operations who do mudjacking. Their price wasn't the highest bid I received but it wasn't the lowest. I thought it was fair given the foam is a higher quality product. The crew actually arrived an hour early, which actually wasn't ideal but not a big deal (a call would have been nice). They worked hard and I suspect they were there much longer than they had originally envisioned. They did a nice job sealing all cracks when they were done with a high-quality crack filler which most of the mudjacking guys told me they don't do. The good crack filler can be messy and difficult to work with so this was a nice little bonus. Although they couldn't get the patio back to where it was, they worked hard to do the best they could without risking damage to the retaining wall. At least with the foam they use, I have confidence it won't sink anymore."

"First of all i spoke with a lot of guys that are in this field of work. I feel like its a sales "Cat and mouse " game with them all for the exception of Across town foundation co. They are so laid back what a great feeling  ZERO pressure.  The price was amazing . The work started early and the guys stayed on it hard till the end of the day. The job took three days and my house is back to it proper placement. Now i dont have to take money off when we sell. Im sure they saved me $10,000 in the long run.  Thanks so much for your hard work! <br />"

"I contacted Dwyer regarding mudjacking beneath our front porch which is approximately 90 sq ft. They were quick to respond to my initial inquiry sending someone out the week after I contacted them to provide a quote. They provided a quote of $900, and said for me to contact them once I was ready to proceed. I told them it would be a few weeks before I was ready to schedule because we were having a large party at our house that month. I did contact them a few weeks later, signed my quote and was ready to proceed. When I called to discuss scheduling, I was told by the admin that the scheduler was out of town and would contact me in the next few days. When I didn't receive a call from the scheduler by the end of the week, the admin again told me that she couldn't help me and the scheduler would be in touch. I tried one more time the following week, and still was told that the scheduler would contact me. Several weeks went by and I still heard nothing from Dwyer. I was ready to move so I actually called A-1 Concrete Leveling, and they came out to provide a quote. Their quote was $300 cheaper and I was able to schedule on the spot with the estimator. Sure enough, at least three weeks later after I had confirmed a better deal, Dwyer called to say they were ready to schedule and they had a cancellation so they wanted to get me in the next morning. <br /> I was not impressed with customer service, and to call only because you have a cancellation and try to schedule the next day? Extremely pleased that I went with another company for this service. <br />"

"When I contacted Frisby about a new roof that I needed for my patio enclosure they had someone to come and meet with me and gave me a quote for the work to be performed. They gave me weekly updates as to when the job would be started weather permitting. Everything was on schedule as stated. It took one day and after completion, they cleaned area. I am happy with the outcome of my new patio roof and everything looks good! I would use Frisby again and recommend them to others as well!"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Oxford, OH

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
