"Pipe from gutter to back of yard was crushed and needed replaced. We had 2 employees come out and with the hill in the back yard it had to be hand dug. They finished it in 1 day and had the new pipe laid and covered. Both employees were very friendly and professional."

Company consists of myself and my son Paul. We have a total of 55 years experience. We do all the sealing work ourselves and by hand--no spray machines. Based in Cincinnati, we take care of the tri-state area but we have expanded our operations to the Dayton area now. Being a family-run business we are able to offer the best customer service possible. The same person giving the estimate is the same person scheduling and doing the actual work. We pride ourselves in the number of our repeat customers. We have been taking care of some customers for over 30 years. The phone number for Cincinnati is (513)828-7325 and the phone number for Dayton is (937)815-8532.
"This is the second time I have had Paul do work on my driveway. He does a great job. He shows up when he says he will, he prepares the driveway, seals cracks and does blacktop, and cleans up afterward. I highly recommend him. Plus, he is a nice person."

Construction and remodeling services.
"Unfortunately I can not give a 0 star review. Kevin was great to work with until he received my deposit. then he quit responding to calls or texts. Always had excuses. Measured windows incorrectly and expected me to be ok with rigging the windows to try to make them fit. Ethical contractors would admit their mistake and re-order the correct size windows. still owes me over $1k. I filed a BBB complaint and Kevin didn't respond to it so his BBB license has been revoked. Good luck if you make the poor choice to employ his services."

Calculating gravel requirements starts with measuring your driveway's length and width in feet. For a standard driveway, aim for approximately four inches of depth. Multiply these three dimensions to find cubic feet, then divide by 27 to convert to cubic yards. For example, a 24-foot by 12-foot driveway at four inches deep requires 3.5 cubic yards of gravel. Your specific needs may vary based on soil conditions and expected traffic.
Crusher run (also called crush and run) offers the most economical option, with prices ranging from $0.40 to $2 per square foot or $20 to $25 per cubic yard. This mixture of stone dust and crushed stone compacts well, making it ideal for functional applications like driveway bases.
Local quarry gravel also tends to be affordable due to minimal transportation costs. The trade-off comes in appearance—these budget options lack the decorative appeal of pricier alternatives.
A full truckload of pea gravel costs between $250 and $500, with pricing variations based on truck capacity, material type, and your location. Standard delivery trucks carry 10 to 15 cubic yards of material.
Ordering by the truckload often provides better value for larger projects compared to multiple smaller deliveries. Many suppliers include reasonable-distance delivery in these prices, making it an economical option for substantial projects.
Well-installed gravel surfaces can maintain their functionality for many years with proper maintenance. Traffic intensity, weather conditions, and installation quality all affect longevity. Regular maintenance—including raking displaced stones back into position and addressing drainage issues—extends useful life significantly.
Many homeowners find they need to add a refresher layer every few years, particularly in high-traffic areas or regions with severe weather conditions.
Adding gravel over an existing surface is possible with proper preparation. Start by thoroughly cleaning the current surface and addressing any significant damage or drainage issues. A stable foundation prevents shifting in your new layer. Consider adding a thin base layer before applying the decorative surface gravel.
Remember that adding material increases the overall height, which may affect garage entrances or property access points. When done correctly, this approach can refresh your driveway's appearance without complete reconstruction.
Gravel offers significantly lower initial costs at approximately $1 to $3 per square foot installed for standard types, compared to the substantially higher upfront investment for asphalt or concrete. However, gravel requires more frequent maintenance and occasional material replenishment.
Paved surfaces demand less regular attention but face expensive repairs when cracks or damage occur. Your decision should consider not just initial expense but also maintenance capabilities, climate conditions, and aesthetic preferences for your property.
