"Needed some stair repairs in our old house. Saw HHC on Anji and through Google. Called them up. Got a quick call response: 1. Came out that day to check things out & give an estimate. 2. Got an estimate and we settled on a date a couple days later. (While Josh said they could do it right away we couldn't.) 3. They came, they saw, they informed, they fixed, they cleaned up, 4. The stairs look (and work) wonderful. 5. The cost was less than the estimate. So, I'm thinking WHAT IN HELL KIND OF CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IS THIS? 1. Nice guys 2. Highly skilled in their work/field. 3. Informative on any issues during the work. 4. Did what they said they would do. 5. Fixed the stair issues. 6. While we were writing the check (less than the estimate), One of them was tightening door knobs, door hinges. I said, "Hey, you guys..." and Josh said, "We fix things". What kind of construction company? THE BEST! (One thing I would recommend: If it's inside work, you might consider some ear plugs)."

"Ricardo and his crew did a great job completely rehabbing a three bedroom. Every interior wall and ceiling was painted. Doors were replaced, ceiling exhaust fans installed, floor covering repair, electrical and plumbing etc. Through 11 change orders Ricardo kept track of it all and pushed to keep the project done on time. If I had more work to be done I would call Santi’s Construction immediately. Highly recommended !"

"We hired Jared for a general home renovation when we bought our first house in 2018. He does it all and the quality of his work truly speaks for itself — every detail was done with care and craftsmanship that you just don’t see every day. What really impressed my husband and I was how reliable and on-time he was throughout the entire project; he showed up when he said he would and kept things moving on schedule. On top of that, his pricing was more than fair — we felt like we were getting incredible value without any surprise costs. Communication was a breeze from start to finish; he kept us in the loop, answered all our questions, and made the whole process stress-free. (Even though remodels/any home renovations tend to be stressful. So if you’re looking for someone you can truly trust to treat your home like their own, look no further. Highly recommend!” "

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Portland, OR

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
