What I can speak to is how he keeps you informed on everything from time/travel ETAs to what he's actually doing and things you might want to be aware of (electronic ignition, heat adjustment on the tank, etc) once he's finished with the job. In our case, the waterheater had been leaking in the garage and before he left he swept up and wiped down everything. In a word, he's thorough :) And he's pretty quick... especially considering he wrestles those waterheaters all on his lonesome! Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.

But they also discovered our pressure regulator had failed, our gate valve was frozen, and we had a pipe leaking in the wall!
