Small jobs welcome

"We own a pool company and hired them as sub contractors to apply the plaster coat on a new pool. Everything was done perfectly with a wonderful finish. They were easy and polite to work with. Great family owned operation. Owner was on site the day of application and checked on everything 24 hours later. Excellent and fair pricing."

"We are repeat customers of Dan Johnson after completing a wonderful Bathroom remodel several years ago. Dan and his assistant, PJ, did not disappoint with our Kitchen Remodel. Our plans included rip out an existing wall and build new replacement wall to our spec. Ripped out existing cabinetry and disposed of debris. Stripped existing drywall for electrical work. Drywall installed prior to Kraftmaid Cabinets and appliances installed. Tile backsplash expertly installed. Johnson Home Improvements did all plumbing, including trenching our concrete slab floor to install a water line to the refrigerator ice maker. Provided new exhaust for Over Range Microwave. All trim and painting was completed without any flaws. Thanks Dan and PJ!"

"They did a good job of helping me select the lamp, and the electrician was absolutely excellent. He found an extra hot wire in the wall which he fixed, and I was very happy with them. He changed out the plate for me as well. They initially brought the incorrect lamp, but they exchanged it with no problem. They even allowed me to keep the incorrect lamp until the correct one was installed. I was so grateful that they were so courteous and professional. Everything was great, and they even handled the mistake very well. We got something very nice for the price we paid, and they did a good job."

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in Painesville, OH

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
