"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"Rustum at edgewater appliances was very responsive and professional. My refrigerator broke all of a sudden and he came over within an hour of calling him. Unfortunately he had to come over couple of more times over next few days as the issue kept recurring, but he was always professional and responsive which I think is important. In the end, I bought a new refrigerator so overall spent more money trying to fix it, so I would have expected their recommendation to buy a new one on the first visit (instead of spending almost 70% of what a new one costs). But I dont think he or anyone else can ever be sure of what it will cost to fix am appliance. Overall, I will call him again, but I will ensure that the cost of repair vs new one is clearly articulated in the beginning and what would be the refund criteria if the problem is not fixed."

After they opened the fridge, they found an additional issue with the door gasket that wasn’t visible during the initial inspection. They gave me two options — a full door replacement (which is standard for Miele) or a cheaper repair option. I chose the repair, and it saved me a lot of money.
