"I am a new home owner and I noticed some water damage in the corner of my basement.  Turns out the previous homeowner had the downspout dumping into the basement.  Fixed the downspot and no new water damage.  So I removed the drywall so that I ocyld replace it and found termites.  Stripped down all the drywall in basement  and had basement treated (see other review for termite treatment).  I called and received estimates for repair work.  Shannon was very prompt, friendly, and professional. He listened to what I wanted, and then described in detail how the repair would be made.  I had absolute confidence that he knew what he was doing.  Furthermore, when I check his proposed techniques out with online forums they were exactly what the pro recommended.  The only problem was the price was more than I was willing to pay for repairing the basement at this time.  I am going to slowly replace the insulation, re-do the wiring, and do the framing myself to save money.  Not sure how long that will take."

"If you have ever shopped for replacement windows then you know the drill. Its a nightmare. They come out measure your windows then put on a demonstration of "thier" window and how great "thier" window as opposed to the competition. If thats not bad enough then there is the high pressure to sign a contract to by their window right then and there. Don't deal with companies that do this!
Must Do; One of the most important questions I did get to the ask them was how long from the time I order and pay for my windows will I get them; 6-8 weeks.
Suncastle Solutions sales girl came out to my home, sat down at my kitchen window and asked me what was it I was looking for in a window, what were my needs - I almost feel off the chair. After a few minutes she asked to measure the windows and when she finished asked my permission to bring in a window sample so I can see it. She didn't put on any show. She let me man handle the window, she let me ask her questions and she asked me about my budget and my current energy bills. She even answered the question about delivery time;  7-10 days on average. 
I reviewed their website and found their outreach page. The way their sales person treated me, the window and reading the outreach page of their site made my decision very simple. I called two days later ordered the windows and asked her if the my sons scout troop could receive the donation. I got my windows and my sons troop has a little bit more in their coffee can for their activities."

"All workers showed up on time and the work progressed on time. The weather was a factor but the job was finished in time and in a very professional manner. There was never a time when I had to worry if the job was being done the way it should be. There was a section of roofing on the back of the house that was done by an armature at best that caused a lot of wood rot. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
